Hi,
Often they get dirt in them and then will not fill...
See if you can unhook the fill valve and back flush it to get the dirt out...
If not the Fluidmaster 400A is a great replacement fill valve that is easy to clean dirt out of if itgets in there..

How do I adjust the Moen M5350 assembly to raise the water level in my toilet tank

To adjust the height of the fill valve, twist the threaded shank in or out of the valve body. The height of the Fluidmaster 400a valve adjusts from 9 to 14 inches. On some models a clicking noise will be heard when adjusting the height, this is normal.

Moen Universal Fill Valve Model M5350 problems

Some kind of crud may have goten into the fill line during installation and is blocking shutoff. The new fill valve could be defective. Something may be preventing the float from stopping the flow. The flapper may be allowing slight leakage, preventing the fill valve from shutting off and staying off. The "overflow tube" actually is the fill tube; the tank fills from the bottom up.

The water continues to fill the toilet tank even with the float at the very top

Sooner or later, that defective fill valve will have to be replaced.

After flushing....water just dribbles back into the top tank...what needs to be done...can anyone help ????

Most likely the problem is with the fill valve or ballcock. Will need to turn the water off to the toilet and remove the supply line that connects the water to the fill valve. then there is a nut that holds the fill valve to the bottom of the toilet tank. remove that nut and the fill valve will lift out of the tank. replace the fill valve with a reverse process and that should cure the problem.

Had a leaky Moen Posi-Temp shower faucet. Installed an Ace Hardware replacement cartridge. Fixed the leak, but now have a water hammer noise in the vicinity of the shower. Is this a common problem with...

I'm not aware of any problems with non moen replacement parts being the cause for a water hammer problem. Start with the simplest and cheapest correction which is using a moen replacement cartridge. If the water hammer persists then you may have to install a water hammer arrester in the plumbing system. This is basically a shock absorber in the plumbing system to stop the effect of water hammer. An arrester will cost you around $10 to $15 at your local plumbing supply shop. If you are not comfortable soldering copper then you will want to hire a licensed plumber to complete the work for you.

I had the same type of problem with an older toilet in my house. It developed a water hammer when it shut off after filling the tank. I replaced the fill valve with a generic universal replacement for about $10 and it stopped. Again sometimes the simplest fix will work. Let me know how it works out.

My Moen Posi-Temp tub valve runs only very cold or very hot. whats wrong?

Your Moen valve is equiped with an anti-scald device (as part of the valve cartridge) which prevents someone from getting scalded by hot water if there's a sudden demand for cold water, i.e. a toilet flush, washing machine filling, etc. Fortunately Moen stands behind their products and will provide a new cartridge.
Contact Moen and describe your problem.

SHOWER HOT WATER SCALDING

hi as you are probably aware ,when the toilet is flushed the water pressure to the shower is reduced so you get hot/scalding water unfortunatly there is NO easy solution you could put a needle valve in the supply to the toilet and with trial and error by turning the valve down reach a compromise between the time it takes to fill the flushing tank and the shower temp the only real solution is to feed the toilet and shower off independent supplies but in most houses this is impractical if not impossible silk090
