I had the same issue.. I checked this web site and found the solution (on another post).. It was the drain of the fridge being blocked.. I didn't know the existence of such drain.. it turned out that it got blocked with some dust, therefore with every defrost cycle, the water was not going down to the evaporator tray, then going inside the fridge (freezing), then overflowing to the outside doors.. check on youtube for videos on how to open the fridge and clean this drain.. Have fun..

I have a Frigidaire model FRS26ZRG.. there is condensation in the freezer side and water collecting in the bottom of the freezer side freezing up...I have read on here that the drip pan drain is clogged...

The drain in the freezer behind back lower panel
needs opening. You can see it at the bottom of the back panel
underneath the evaporator coils. (The cold coils)
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
When the defrost melts the water it goes down the drain
If the drain is clogged with Ice or ? The defrost water
overflows into the ref. or freezer or on floor
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Freezer won't freeze

The system has been stopped due the timer, need to locate the timer and turn clockwise if the compressor start again then you have to change it or look for a short circuit, any case better let the professional make the work

Keeps Running/Food Not Cold

Bob,

Check the freezer side and see if there is ICE BUILDUP BEHIND the rear panel. If there is you can remove the panel and with a hairdryer thaw out the freezer coils. That should make it run properly, BUT you have either a problem with the defrost unit OR the Temp Control Unit for the refer side. I don't know how to test either unit to see if they are working though.

Frigidaire side by side freezer- water which turns to ice is collecting at the bottom of the freezer - drain hole at the back / lower part of the freezer appears to get frozen - causing the water / ice...

this should not be happening as a heater in the freezer should eliminate this problem.first check the hose is completely clear,if it is when your fridge goes into defrost mode you should be able to feel warmth near this drain or hear the ice crackling and defrosting thence draining via the rear tube also try removing the offending ice in the drain with hot water

you may need to clean the drain tube again. the only other place that water may come from is the ice maker if it is over flowing. this however would be very obvious. use some thing like a length of cloths line cable to "snake" the drain after you defrost it. the fastest way to defrost it is to use hot water and a turkey baister. good luck.

water is probably caused by ice blocking the drain for the auto defrost. take off the back panel and you may see ice accumulating at the bottom of the evaporator. switch off, clear the excess ice with a hair-dryer used carefully and make sure water runs down the drain freely. ice in the drain may take some clearing - boiling water and patience are needed
