Microsoft Internet Explorer is prone to problems. IE7 has less, but I still recommend to people to use Mozilla as a browser and not Internet Explorer.

Download and run MOZILLA
After getting up on the net with mozilla download and install Internet Explorer updates.

How can I reinstal Windows Search and Windows Security Centre

Install Windows Security Center

Open Internet Explorer and navigate to the Microsoft Windows Update website.

Click the "Express" button on the main page to have your computer checked for important updates to be installed.

Since Windows Security Center is not installed, it will be detected and installed within the update.

Search the list of updates that will be installed on your Computer and deselect any options besides Windows Security Center that you don't want installed at this time.

Click "Install Updates" to begin the installation process.

Set your computer up for Automatic Updates to keep your computer up to date.

You can do so by clicking "Start" followed by "Control Panel."

Click "Automatic Updates" and select the recommended option.

Click "Apply" followed by "OK" to save the changes and exit the window.

Install Windows Security Center in Windows Vista

Click the "Start" button followed by "All Programs." Scroll through the list and select "Windows Update" from the available options. You can also type "Windows Update" in the search field followed by pressing "Enter" to access it immediately.

Click the "Change Settings" button in the left window pane.

Select the radio button next to "Automatically download and install updates."

Click "OK" when you have finished. Windows will begin to scan your computer and download the necessary updates, one of which will be Windows Security Center if it isn't available on your computer already. When the updates have finished installing, a bubble will pop up in your system tray telling you new updates have installed and your computer needs to be restarted.

Restart your computer and once you log back on to Windows, Security Center will be available. You can access it by clicking the "Start" button and typing "Windows Security Center" in the search field. It will also be available in the "All Programs" software list.

Reinstall Windows Search

If for some reason you've lost Windows Search from your computer, it is possible to reinstall it.

Reinstalling Windows Search will improve the performance and stability of your computer system's indexer.

It will allow you to sort and group results in Windows Explorer more quickly, and will improve the indexing of your online email.

It expands your system's ability to do fast remote queries of file shares, including on Windows XP and Server 2003.

It automatically indexes shared folders and contains improvements in previews for earlier supported operating systems (Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP).

When you type a search term into Windows Search, the results appear quickly.

This is also true for information from emails and their attachments.

Download and install Windows Search on your computer.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/desktopsearch/choose/windowssearch4.mspx?tab=Install%20It

Click on the appropriate link for your version of Windows.

Click "Open" to download the file if you use Vista.

Click "Save" to download the file if you use Windows XP.

Click on "Run" to install Windows Search on your computer.

Follow the prompts to complete Windows Search installation.

Restart your computer.

Windows Search will be available in the Start menu if you use Vista.

If your operating system is Windows XP, use the Deskbar for quick and easy search access to indexed content on your PC or the network.

Personalize Windows Search for an optimal search experience .

Add-ins let you index Outlook saved email, Microsoft networks, Internet Explorer history and Lotus Notes.

Hope this helps

DOWNLOAD DRIVER FOR WINDOW 7

What driver? Try going to the start menu (in the search box) and type Windows Update. Run the update and install any and all Recommended (and optional if desired) updates available.

Also, if you have the OS installations disk, run the disk, and choose the "repair" option when prompted.

You can also search for specific drivers online on the Microsoft Website. http://www.microsoft.com/drivers

Audio Driver for Acer System

There are 4 ways you can download and install audio drivers :

1.From Device Manager

(1).Click Start, type Device Manager in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
(2).In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
(3). Right-click the device, and click Scan for hardware changes.
You should see a message that a hardware device is being installed. Additionally, the uninstalled audio device is now present in Device Manager.
(4).Close the Device Manager dialog box, and then determine whether you can hear sound.

2.From the motherboard or installation CD - If your computer came with a motherboard CD, the audio drivers should be on the disk.

3. From manufacturer's website - If you don’t have the CD go to your computer manufactures web page to search for updated sound driver software. Read the instructions on the download pages carefully before installing.

4. Microsoft's Windows Update feature : If there are no updated sound drivers available, use Microsoft's Windows Update feature. Connect to the Internet and try the following items until Windows Update opens:

(1).Click Start, and then click Windows Update (if it is listed).
(2).Click Start, click Settings, and then click Windows Update (if it is listed).
(3).Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update (if it is listed).
(4).Go to Microsoft's Web site and click Windows Update from the Downloads menu.

I am trying to install Sage Instant accounts on a brand new dell Inspiron545.It appears to install correctly but then when I try to open it I get an error message saying that the application failed to...

Does that computer have Vista or XP on it? I would completely uninstall Sage, make sure all the current Microsoft updates are installed on your computer (yes, even when they are new, there may be updates) and then try reinstalling the Sage.

Why since I upgraded to XP professional and installed more memory, giga pocket doesn't work?

When an upgrade is performed all the drivers must be updated and support for Windows Pro must be updated as well.Go to www.microsoft.com and do a search for upgrade to Windows Pro. There it will give you all the updates needed in order to get the OS to run properly. If all fails there simply contact Microsoft's support for desktops and tell them what is happening but by installing all the updats needed that should fix your issue!!
