Question about Tunturi T40 Folding Treadmill

1 Answer

Hi, We have had our treadmill for about 3 weeks. For the past few days, when we start it up, after about 15 seconds of running on it, it stops and Error 1 shows up on the screen. It is a t40 model. Unfortunately we have moved to Nunavut in northern Canada and won't be able to access service up here even though it's under warranty. Any help would be hugely appreciated!!

Error 1 is a fairyl universal code for treadmills that means your control board has gone bad. Here is a list of things that will cause this to occur:

1. Improper lubrication of belt/deck (too much friction and amperage draw)

2. electrical variance (example: going from US 110 to foreign 220)

3. potentiometer on control board may be set too low (usually blue box with turnable dial) - to change this you would have to turn the dial ever so slightly and test after each movement until the belt starts to run on its own without the error.

other than the above issues you would have to replace the motor control board

Try calibrating the console. If it doesn't work, you'll need a new motor control board.
