Same problem...AirmanB29 are you talking about the main power on the AVC or the LCD itself?

Sure seems like a bad design or a batch of defective parts. I have the same problem. Tried a work around that worked for a day and then it is back to the same problem! Got it to work, but when I turned it off, it would not turn on again. Seems like the controller box has some kind of flaky part in it. The LCD panel itself is OK. Too bad you can't use the TV without that external box.

OK. Here seems to be a solution that is working now. Unplug both the AVC and the panel (I used a power strip to make this easier by just turning off the strip and back on again). With the AC removed, press the "MAIN POWER" on. Next, press and hold the "VOL (--)" and "INPUT" at the same time. Finally, plug the AC power back in and the set should come on.
After it came on, mine was in a factory test mode. I had to enable the write mode (I think it writes to the PROM) and then selected the second line down on the first menu (1 of 15 ) to have it do the restore or something.
Finally, my set came up with OPC enabled to auto and it seems to have a sensor issue. At night, the monitor is unwatchable with such low light. So, I turned on a bright light near the monitor and set that to "Manual". so far, for two days and nights now it has been working again. I hope this helps. Good luck! -Brad

Display powers of with power up of AVC

how many blinks does the red light give in a row? This would be an error code?

The problem for 7 blinks would be an Interface board. Apparently there is a glitch in the interface board that sends signals to the television. Basically the glitch shorts out the board and the t.v wont turn on and you will see the power light blink 7 times pause then 7 more. You can replace the board with a new one and update the software on the new interface board.

If is isn't 7, let me know and I will help you out with this

Mitsubishi wd65737 wont turn on

if you can check the power supply board look for a bulging capacitor which cause of voltage drop not to turn on the relay.

Hi, I own a Toshiba 40rv525u lcd television set for 3 years. Suddenly, it turns on and off intermittently and I cannot solve the issue. I have already purchased and installed a new/used main board part...

Good day sir!!!

I want to know first if your TV have blinking lights red or green after the TV turns off?..if so,please count the blinking light to diagnose where the fault comes from..Or try to disconnect all connections of your TV such as DVD etc..then try again..

If the power supply and main board are both new..the possible problems are overheat or overload so please try the suggestions above..If not work please let me know if you have multimeter or if you know how to used it because we will proceed to voltage data..

Thank you for purchasing my service..

Have a nice day!!!

Kindly tell me :-

1. Make and Model of the TV?

3. Do you have Tools like Multimeter to repair it?

Let me know, so that we could Proceed.

Hope i helped you.

LG 42 LCD no sound or picture

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.

Will not turn on, only blinking green light

It is a rough gamble to speculate but if all you have on the PS +5v and +3.3v it's obviously toast.. It would help at this point to have an adjustable dc supply and scope now to trace yest the remainder of the set but for the cost of a good scope you could buy the Tv new... Just going to have to go with your instincts on this one. I could add that usually in lcd cases where the supply has failed it's simply isolated to the supply.
Good Luck!
