That is the sign of failing power supply due to bad DC filter caps, that will be the first place to check.

You can find parts for your TV here. If the power supply is an internal component, it is strongly recommended that it be installed by a TV repair professional.

Insignia TV is only showing 1/2 picture

You are having problems with component failure. This could be a simple problem of over expanded solder connections that have expanded beyond the contact points on the board. This is reffered to as cold or broken solder joints. The other problem amy be actual component failure, such as bad capacitors or semi-conductor components. The unit need to serviced. You can call the Best Buy customer support telephone line at 1888-237-8289 and give them the model number of your television and the problem you are having. They should be able to give you a evalution and esimate of the repair costs. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Insignia IS-LCDTV32 32 in. Television

Sorry to say but I believe you have what the rest of us have had happen to our TV's. There are three capacitors on your TV's power board that have gone bad. It is an easy fix and I only paid $5.16 for the capacitors required for the fix, but if you don't have the desire to do it yourself the power board is available on bestbuy.com for about $100. You can replace it easily enough with a philips screwdriver.

Make sure you un plug it first.

This seems to be pretty common with alot of LCD TV's from what I've seen here recently.

Good luck with it,
John

Sound and Volume trouble

I bought my Insignia 32" LCD in November 2007 - same problem. I figured out that if you press the "input" button on your remote select any of the other options "component 1, composite 1, etc.. that you're TV isn't on -then press "input" again and go back to the component that you're TV plays on - you'll have volume when you go back every time. I've gotten so used to doing it now that it's become habit. 9 times out of 10 I have to do it.

Sony Trinitron TV Snow

I found out accidentally, is when I push the "demo" button, which shows many of the features on the TV. It'll run through the demo a few times, for as much as 10 minutes, then the TV will be fine. as you are getting fine picture on demo it indicates that your tv is perfectly ok. problem is out side of tv 1 check cable connection for loose or its socket is loose. 2 wire might be old or defective. 3 check tunning is done properly 4 if every thing is fine then check for tuner in your tv. good luck
