I have been trying to figure out how to read a text message from the external display on my phone. A few times it has done it but when i try no matter what keys on the side i push I can't get anymore than it saying "1 new message". Which keys allow me to do this?

Unfortunately, cell phones are not like e-mails. Once you delete a text message from the cell phone, you could no longer view it or retrieve it. Better yet, try to contact the phone carrier (AT&T) and see if they have a server that holds the text messages and see if you could get it back. If there is, I think there's a standard price for it, but it should be a reasonable price.

c. Off (When text is recieved, option are given to view text now or later, read out will not happen automatically)
Go to messaging thru your main menu. Thru messaging scroll to bottom to settings. next go to text auto view click this. If it looks like i believe most menus are it should say on / on plus readout and off. just choose off.
try deleting some of our old text messages if it would make an difference. if not,take out battery for few seconds and put the battery back in, power on and try if it made any difference. if does not work, reset the phone to its original manufacturer setting. Go to
