Question about Hoover HDV7FM Electric Dryer
The dryer is not giving hot air - it turns and the technician came and has changed the stainless steel box with the wires connected to the dryer and is still not working. He opened the top cover but do not know what the problem is. I hope you can help solve this problem. Thanks so much.
If you got a problem of your tumble dryer or other heating devices with no heat comes out, then one of the most common root causes is due to faulty Thermal CutOff (TCO). This happens coz the working temperature exceed the holding temperature as specified for the fuse itself. Actually, this happened to my Hoover Tumble Dryer also. What I did, I replaced the faulty one with the new TCO by soldering. Now it perfectly functions well.. I know it's pretty hard though to get the spare (TCO) in the UK but I can sort it out for you.. If you call any spare shop or technician, they won't sell that small stuff except as a whole set (Heating element at the price around GBP25). If you want to do it your self and need my help to fix for you, Please give a call or sms to me (Murad) at 07519532241. (My stuff and labour rate is much much cheaper and you will appreciate it). I am doing a freelance for this..

It could be the temprature sensor located behind the front cover, it has 2 red wires and is an easy replacable and cheap part.It will need the top removing, front switch cover removing and then the screws for the front cover but not the screws securing the door as this will come off as one. Hope this helps
