This little SD card has a sliding button on the side, make sure it is set to unlock.

I inserted an sd memory card into the card slot and it still records directly onto the internal memory. How do I get it to record directly onto the sd card?

With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. After that, insert your card and it should work.

Won't read memory card

This usually indicates that you are trying to use 'newer' SDHC High Capacity cards of 4GB or more. Older and cheaper units like this Vivicam 5024 unfortunately may be limited to 2Gb 'standard' SD cards.
Hope it helps: let me know what cards you are trying to use.

I try to put sd memory card in and it say's card inserted

First, be sure the slide switch on the side of the card is in the unlocked position. A new card must be formatted in the camera before using to work properly. This will erase it so download any pictures still on it using a card reader if necessary.

Sd card cannot be read & internal memory of camera cannot be read

Which Kodak camera model?
It may not support a large SD (SDHC) memory card.
Remove the card and remove the batteries.
Turn ON the camera (I know, no batteries) for one minute.
Turn OFF camera and install batteries.
Do not insert the memory card.
Does the internal memory work?
If so, insert memory card.

If it's ok to format the card, do so.
If not, then use a USB adapter and copy the memory card to your [My Pictures] folder.
Format memory card.

Card protection on wii not take pictures

I assume you mean the card protection on the SD card??? Turn off the camera, pop out the SD card, slide the little switch on the side of the SD card from locked to unlocked, re-insert the card the way it came out, and turn the camera back on. If it still doesn't work, take thed batteries out, reinsert them, then turn it on again. It should be ready now to record onto the external memory. If it still doesn't, get the manual out and check on transferring fiels from internal to external memory.

Genius G-Shot HD55 (camera) - How to get SD card working??

For Genius G-Shot HD55 you need to insert the SDHC card deeper into the slot until it clicks closed, like opening a pen, then when you want to remove it press it again until it clicks to release, like closing a pen. Your card is recognised after the deep click insertion and restarting the camera.

Internal memory to sd card

I don't know your camera; but... Before we assume anything about your camera we should check that SD card in another SD device that we know is working. your camera should default to the SD Card like most devices, which are able to use both simultaneously. It seems likely that something might have happened to the SD card if that is the only one you have tried in your camera. food for thought

SD CARD

If I remember correctly, when you insert an SD card, it "hides" the camera's internal memory. There should be an camera option for copying the files from the internal memory onto the inserted SD card. If not, you could try connecting the camera to your computer with the SD card removed, in order to access the files in the internal memory.
