Ya need a pandora battery = magic memory stick with the original sony 1.50 update. put the memory stick in, then battery. it should turn on automatically, all lights on. then show you a screen that says install 1.50. install it, then go to dark-alex.org and download all the updates, you can start with 2.71 special edition then go all the way to 3.90 m33-2. in my opinion, go to 3.71-2. best CFW so far.

SOURCE: downgrade psp firmware 5.02
Someone will have to run the flash program to get you back to M33. Pandora battery and Magic stick with M33 flash on it. Most homebrew and programs will not run on any M33 version above 3.9. New UMD games from sony will have the latest firmware and the children will usually run the firmware upgrade to play the game. It will allow the new UMD to play, but the Sony Firmware will write over the Custom M33 firmware and you will not be able to run the games on your Memory stick.
