Check the wiring at the xlr first, maybe 1 leg of the balanced output has come off or maybe a bad solder joint inside.

If its weak and thin then it sound like this might help.

Hope this helps

It can't be a problem with the XLR connector. If a wire came off the XLR connector, the mic would not work at all. I suggest contacting Shure to have the microphone repaired. www.shure.com/service

Car won't start? try this!

Is your car clicking when you try to start it?
does it make u think your battery is low, but it isnt?

There are two reasons for this.

Reason #1 (most common)
Y
our starter solenoid will click but nothing else when u try to start your car if your starter is not getting enough power from the battery. This can be caused by a low battery, however it can fake you out and seem like that battery was getting weaker and weaker over time even tho what was actually happening was that the grounding cable (black thick wire) going from the battery to the starter or a bolt on something metal under your hood may actually be degrading over time and need replacement.

Fix: #1
test your ground cable with starter cables! put the negative(black) on the battery then the other black end on anything metal that doesnt move and is not painted. also make sure its not in a spot that could loosen and fall into moving parts if the engines starts. Try starting your engine. If it starts you now know that your ground cable is bad. They are about $5 at autozone and 2 bolts to replace. Just follow it from the battery down to where its bolted on.

Reason #2
Y
our starter solenoid could be bad. If you hear a clicking and you tried the above to no avail. You may need a new solenoid. Its the small cylinder looking thing attached to your starter. To replace the solenoid you will have to remove your starter. Some makes and models don't allow you to purchase the solenoid separately.

Anyone ever got a restricted call that when you answer it only plays music?

Oops. I'll bet you have a Samsung Convoy 2 or similar with the fake call feature. It's very easy to accidentally trigger a fake call. That's why there is no record with your provider. You're probably calling yourself!
"The Convoy 2's best phone feature? A built-in fake calling application. The fake calling app has TONS of features. You can set the call to arrive in as little as 5 seconds, or as many as 30 minutes. You can set a number for the fake call to display, including "restricted". You can record voices/sounds to come out of the earpiece. After the timer expires, the phone rings and you're free to escape the really bad date you might be on, or sneak out of a meeting, and so on."

Horn on my 2003 monte carlo stopped working. The volume got weaker and weaker until finally no sound is made when you press the horn

do you hear a click sound from a relay when pressing on horn button? most likely is underhood. if so,locate the horn(s) and test voltage with a test light or DVOM at the horn + side. if both have voltage, check - side.(ground).if both are correct replace both horns.

N73 low sound for top loud speaker and earpiece when calling

HI, when a cell phone has Low sound for top loud speaker and earpiece when calling , it is when the loud speaker and the earpiece are weak to perform accurately and will need to be replace for better sound quality for your cell phone.

When a phone drops on the flow or water gets into it,might cause the hearing of the lod speaker sound to go weaker and weaker every time.

When you replace the ear piece and the speaker, you phone will work perfectly again.

If when you replace the speaker and soundisstillthe same , that means it's an IC chip problem inside the cell phone . An expert will help you on that.

Hope it helped.

Thanks for using fixya.

When I turn the key it just clicks

The battery may have just been replaced, but have you checked the voltage lately?

This sounds like it may have a charging problem.

First, put the battery on a slow charger over night, and see if it will start the next morning.
If it sounds strong, but get weaker after running for a while, you'll want to check the output of the alternator.

You can take your Venture to a local autoparts store, and ask them to run a charging check for you.
