If it has heat the first 15 to 30 minutes and then no heat you have bad gas coils, they are located on the top of the gas valve, just remove the two phillips screws, remove the cover and change out the coils,

the part number for the coils is 279834

unplug the dryer and take out the two phillips screws that hold the door on and remove the door, now take out the other two screws opposite the door screws.now grab the right and left side of the front panel and pull forwards and remove the front panel. this is how you can get at the gas coils, also if the coils aren't the problem you might need to clean out the dryer.vacuum out the cabinet and if you have a shop vac blow off the motor and all the gas parts to clean it.you can blow the lint from the back forwards so you don't have to pull the drum and the front bulkhead.pull out the filter and vac that out,if it's clogged you'll have to remove the bulkhead to clean the duct that the lint filter slides into, also if the vent line is long, remove it from the back of the dryer and with a leaf blower blow out the line and all the lint will blow outside.you should do this once a year with a gas dryer so you don't have a fire and your dryer will run like it should.now with the front off plug the dryer in and hold in the door switch and start the dryer, watch to see if the ignitor glows and then the flame will lite,if it lites and it should because you said you do have some heat change out the gas coils like i said before and your problem should be solved, either the air wasn't moving because of a lint block or the coils are bad, they will work until they heat up and then they will fail.it says over 100 people looked at this but nobody said if they fixed the problem or not,i hope this helps somebody, good luck

The gas dryer heats then does not heat. The sensor says 99 minutes to dry close. Tried it on timed heat and it dries then stops drying. Sometimes shutting off completely!

Hello,Cheack to make sure your venting is clean and clear..If its blocked the safty thermostat will shut the heat down to prevent overheating.. If the vent is clean i would check the coils. When they start to fail it will heat then not cycle back on..

Maytag Neptune gas dryer sense dry time at 99, little or no heat

If this is a gas dryer, I'd suggest an inspection by the gas company or qualified technician. If the jets aren't firing correctly, you are wasting gas and possibly creating a hazard.
