Hi,
Take the cover off and under there you will find two screws...
The large one will change the cut-in or low side and the small one will change the cut-out or high side...
For either one turning the nut up will make the pressure lower and turning the nut down will make the pressure higher...

Here is a tip that I wrote about making these adjustments...

Pressure in pump is stuck at 11psi

Change it, If it worked once upon a time, now it does not, You can't fix it. They come preset 20/40,30/50 or 40/60 the first number is the on psi the second is off. Check your old one to see which you need, it is on the inside of cap. Make sure to check the air in bladder tank while the system is down. (2 psi less than start up pressure)

Pressure switch, TC2151, on my shallow well system (used for lawn irrigation) needs recalibrating. It shuts off at 60 PSI - I think I can live with that although I would prefer about 55 PSI. I saw your...

It sounds like you BACKED OFF the small not. This is the cut in pressure. If you turn it to the right the Cut In pressure is raised. To the left is lowering the Cut In.

I have a pressure switch tc2151 that I want to replace as the original was acting up. Now the new one pops the breaker. we have switched the wires around and nothing. please help

The wiring could be wrong. Make sure the two pump leads are one on each side of the switch and the same with the black and white power leads. They should also be opposite each other on the switch. If you look at it from left to right, it should be white (neutral), motor lead, motor lead, black power (hot). Make sure that the switch is set right for how much power your putting to it. If your power is 230 volts ac, make sure the switch is set for that much voltage. If it's 115 volts ac, make sure the switch is set for that. Another problem could be the motor. If its having a hard time starting up, that could blow the breaker. Motors use up to 10 times their operating amps when they start up. Let me know if this helps.

NEED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

The wiring diagram is on or inside the cover.... However, it is better to see it in a video.
This video is for a Square D switch but the procedure is exactly the same:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggn0hyGI2AU (same as below)

Just remember when it comes to pressure adjustments if needed that the big sprong is for HIGH pressure shut-off and the small spring is LOW pressure pump start adjustment.

2 power wires in for the power supply and 2 wires out for the pump to run.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

How do i set the low pressure on the flotec switch

your pump should have a 20lb seperation ie. pump turns on at 20lb and off at 40lb or on at 50lb off at 70lb. under the cover of the switch theres two screws with springs under them.dont mess with the small one.the large one if you screw it down (right) will increase the pressure while maintaining the 20lb separation. one thing to keep in mind its fine to adjust the pressure BUT at the same time the air pressure in the tank needs to be adjusted to two lbs below the cut in pressure of the pump.

I believe the directions are in the top of the cover of the switch

What preasure should it stop pumping

It is factory preset to stop at 50psi but is adjustable. Do you have a pressure tank in line and close to the pressure switch to assist in pressure stabilization?
