Hi, I could not locate where to update my webcam driver on my LG laptop and secondly,it will indicate that USB Device is not recognised and one of the USB devices attached to this computer has...

If it's an internal webcam, the one on the top of the LCD monitor, look for a key on the keyboard which has a webcam picture on it,usually between F1-F12,but no always
If it's an external webcam, that connected to USB ports,it might be that the problem is the USB,open the device manager
Right click on My Computer and select properties, then click on the Hardware tab and click Device Manager, expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers by clicking on it,and see if there are any USB device that has "?" sign on it. If there are one, right click on the device and select uninstall, uninstall it and then restart your computer, when the computer turned on,the driver will reinstall automatically
Please let me know if it's works or not

Go into your device manager and see if there is a yellow or red question mark beside USB HOST if so go look for the driver for your usb in your pc.

it might mean that the USB ports on your computer need to have updated drivers so that it can recognize USB devices that get connected to it.

New samsung r519. integrated webcam works fine

est your webcam here to make sure it broadcasts ok - Hit 'Allow' in the top window and check your cam in the left hand panel.

http://www.testmycam.com/

Having proved your cam is working ,you can configure it to WLM (MSN)

CONFIGURE SOFTWARE to MSN
Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start - if you have been using it elsewhere the MSN software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly.
The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted.
Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software.
If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.

Open MSN
Click 'Open Menu'
From 'Tools; navigate to, and click, 'Audio and Video setup'
Set your speakers
Click 'Test' - if OK, move on.
Set your mic as default
Use the slider to set volume and test.
Click 'Next'
This takes you to the video setup
Your webcam should be broadcasting - if not - make sure the webcam is set as default - restart MSN
Use 'Webcam Settings'to fine tune the picture.
Click 'Finish'
