Einy Lane -- Water Drain question -- If your dryer is installed next to a drain the water can be plumbed into this drain. This does away with the need to empty the water container. Simply remove the top hose from its top fitting at the rear of the dryer and plumb the hose provided to the drain.

If a leak has developed in absence of using the drain hose feature, then the water is going someplace else. Unplug unit and then check behind it for the drain line being fallen down. If you need more help, please write back. User Manual can be downloaded without charge from Hotpoint website. -- SWT

Why is my Tumble Drier keeps beeping without stopping a few minutes into the drying program?

It sounds like the carbon brushes are probably worn down - they ride on the drum (in the top ) and determine the amount of moisture left in the clothes for drying - they connect to the drum and the metal bar inside the dryer - A wet clothing item conducts between the two giving the dryer an idea of how much moisture is left in the load - equal to how much time / heat is needed to dry load as required. These brushes wear out and need to be replaced over time

A tumble drier should only be used to dry clothes that have been through a hydro extractor (spin drier) first. They are not designed to put wet washing in. Dripping wet washing must first be wrung out or else the excess water will run out the bottom. If it is a washer/extractor, look for leaking pipes or door gasket.

Dryer tumbles, trake long time to dry or partly

Check the hose at the rear of the drier, if the hose is restricted even to the vent outside she will not move the air to dry your clothes. Also check the filter and down inside the filter area. Clean it out.

My tumble drier dont heat up. It works but its

there will be a red overheat switch on the rear on most models, simply pull the machine out and press reset, the most cpmmon cause is running when empty or a build up of lint. if the doesnt work then it will be an open circuit element.

Creda tumble dryer

It is probably the electric heater coil. How old is the machine? If a couple of years or more, the coil is probably burnt out. It is accessible through the back. Good luck!
