Question about IBM NetVista PC Desktop
I have a NetVista 8307, but when I power on my PC I see the BSOD (said ACPI need disable.) How to disable this?
Thanks in advance.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
When you first start the XP install, you are in 'text' mode - you know, blue and white screen, no graphics.
When you get to the point where it says at the bottom "Press F6 to install additional storage drivers", just hit F7. Change your system type from ACPI compliant to Standard Computer in the menu that comes up.
Is this message received on an existing installation OR are you now trying to install XP - that "during text mode set up" refers to the install.
If it is already installed Press F8 and select Safe Mode.
If you get in XP there go Start, right click My Computer, click properties, click the hardware tab, click device manager and on the My Computer expand the + sign.
If it says ACPI there, then it already is ACPI compliant.
This actually stands for "Advanced Configuration and Power Interface"
The issue is more than likely a driver, memory or possibly a flat CMOS battery.
hope this helps
