Jensen PS2180 Car Audio Amplifier

it turns on fine blue light good. It won't produce sound from the right channel. on the left channel it doesn't sound till it's all the way up and then it's like faint static with the beat of the song. it is hooked up correctly. Do I have to have my car started?

Those signs are not a good sign. From what you have posted, I would say your amp is toast. Check to make sure your subs aren't blown. Hook up a separate speaker to each channel to make sure it isn't your subs. Check your RCAs to make sure you don't have a nick in them some where. Just get any pair of RCA's that you know are good and run them directly from the head unit to the amp. Good luck.
