If unit has electronic controls, verify that the fuse/s ain't blown. also check wire connections probably a broken wire from main source.

Whirlpool microwave gh7208xrb-3 fuse is good but the unit has no powernothing lights up at all it like it is dead.

Control board might be dead. Cost is quite high could run up to $200 or more. Many times I recommend just to replace it. Here's the dumb question, is power present at receptacle?, if over range microwave, in cabinet above microwave? Check for gfci receptacle tripped. Sometimes fuses appear good, always be sure to test with a meter.

My crappy Maytag does not spin dry enough. I had a Maytag before this one that was really good in comparrison. It takes much longer in the dryer because the clothes come out so wet from the washer. My...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Just out of interest is it possible that there is water still left in the unit whilst spinning? That would account for the clothes still being wet. Just in case there is I would advise following my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain filter and the drain motor ;-0)
--------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

The tower nor keyboard wont come on and its pluged in

1) Check to make sure THE receptacle in the surge protector that the computer is plugged into, is good.
I have had a few surge protectors where just THAT receptacle was bad.

("Hmmm, monitor, router, and printer has power from the surge protector." Checked the receptacle in the surge protector that the computer was plugged into, with a table lamp, found THAT receptacle was bad)

2) Receptacle in surge protector proves to be good?
Suggest performing the test to see if the problem is the Power On switch, or the Power Supply.
(The Power On switch is located inside the plastic Power On button)

The test involves bypassing the Power On switch, by using a jumper wire on the Soft Power On, in the ATX main power cable's connector.
Has nothing to physically do with the switch itself.

Using the jumper wire the computer (Power Supply) comes on?
Problem is the Power On switch.

[ Example of a generic ATX power on switch that I have found fits many computers,

http://www.directron.com/atxswitch.html ]

Using the jumper wire the computer (Power Supply actually), does Not come on?
The problem is the Power Supply.
Replace.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain20

(Green wire {PS_ON} is the Soft Power On wire. It is jumped to ANY Ground {Black} wire)

Want to know how to Properly perform the above test? Please post back in a Comment.
Also post the computer manufacturer's name, and the Model Number.
(On the back of a desktop computer next to the Windows Product Key, or up on the side of the tower)

Regards,
joecoolvette.

Brand new dryer and I can't get any heat.

Hello! Start with the receptacle. You should have 2 120v leads, giving you 220v to power everything on the dryer. If that's good, test your cord for continuity, or test for the same voltage at the dryer terminal strip. If that's good, unplug the dryer and make sure that all connections to the dryer are tight. If that's good, test the continuity of the heating elements. This should get you going in very short order. Since your dryer is brand new, once you've made sure that there is power up to the machine, the rest should be covered by your dealer and your warranty.
Best regards, --W/D-- please feel free to rate this solution! Thanx!

Doesn't operate when plugged in

The test and reset is a GFCI device. They do go bad sometimes. The solution is to cut that plug end off, and install a regular cord end that is capable of handling the rated amperage of the unit. ( I assume this is 120-volt unit)

You should replace the wall receptacle with a GFCI receptacle where the unit is plugged in to prevent electrocution

EE in the display window

Hi, I have been trying to get in touch with a service rep to find out but unable to get one. They wanted proof that I had purchased a unit. Its possible that your receptacle is not polarized right. By that I mean the two wires may need switched on the receptacle or maybe it doesn't have a good ground. You may want to try temporarily using an extension cord and try another plug. Most things will run good on receptacles wired wrong but with a computerized AC it may be seeing a fault. If you still need help I think the best way to find out would be for you too contact the store that you bought the unit from and make it their responsibility to find out what the EE stands for. If they cant, get the unit replaced and try again. If you do get hold of a service tech # from Maytag, please send it to me at kstfas@yahoo.com Hope this helps. kstfas
