My 2011 mits 73" dlp T.V. doesn't get any stations in after completed sanning, with or without cable box ,can u help?

If you're using a cable box, you need to set the TV to Channel 3 or 4 and set it to cable input. The cable box does all the tuning.
If you set it to antenna, you must have some kind of antenna attached to get any channels.
With some cable services, you can connect directly to the cable bypassing the box, but most no longer work that way.

How do I hook the tv with cable??what kind of wire I need

Do you have a Hi Def box?
If so, the best connection is components cables from the box to a inpot on the TV. Or use the antenna inputs and put on channel 3

Either screw a coaxial cable from wall plate to tv, or install a cable box and use A/V cables from box to tv.

Hello my name is Tim Ehrhart, I want to help you figure this out, is the wire coming out of the wall a coax cable ( more then likely so )? if there is not a input on your tv for the coax cable then you may need to get a converter box to change the input into one that your tv supports. Walmart electronics sells these, also radio shack.

You will need to run the setup to allow your converter box to detect your local channels. You may have a "Setup" button, or may have to get to it through a "Menu" button on the converter box remote.

The screen on my 1 year old 42 inch Akai plasma tv suddenly went blank although I still have sound. Any clues?

Reset the cable/sat box and tv by turning them off, unplugging them both from the wall outlet, and replugging them after 30 seconds. See if you get pictue back when they get the correct handshake. also, make sure that there are no loose cables going into the TV or into the cable/sat box. You can try using a different type of connecting cord from the cable/sat box to the tv to make sure it is not a bad connecting cord.

What type of cable is connecting your cable/sat box to the TV? Is it HDMI?

Are you using a video game system on the plasma?

Programming digital channels

The problem is not with your TV. You need a digital box to unscramble the channels.

Can't get second picture in Picture-in-Picture (PiP)

Watching two separate tv channels at the same time requires two tv channel sources,i.e. a split of some kind. For instance, the cable coming in thru the wall is split-half to tv or vcr/dvd combo and then to tv,the other half to cable box, then out to tv.If what I described fails, then you may have an actual tv failure.PIP video is generally a separate circuit from standard video. An expert tech w/service literature should be able to help. Let me know if you need more assistance.
