Metro PCS LG Imprint had for 2 months and suddenly can not receive texts from carriers other than Metro. No texts received for last week.

I would suggest you to reset it to factory default so that all changes made will be restored to it's default settings. By default, sim card will automatically select the Message Center number as soon as it's inserted in the phone and starts accessing the Network, but in rare cases, it never detects itself unless you set it manually due to technical problem, like hardware failure, database corrupted, firmware problem, etc.. You will be able to find out the source of the problem after restoring the phone to it's default settings. The default security code for all Lg mobile handsets is 0000 (four zeros). Let me give you a hint on how to reset the phone settings, type in 2945#*# on the main menu (do as when you dial a number), another screen will show up, select "Factory default" and when you are asked to enter the security code, enter 0000 (i hope you haven't changed, if you have changed the security code, use yours). This will reset the phone to it's default state as when you bought it.

If this doesn't fix, then flash the mobile or update the firmware. That'll fix you problem.
If you know how to reset from the settings menu, you can do it. One more important thing, sometimes most lg's security codes has been changed to the last four digit numbers of the phone number if it's locked to only one network.

    Resetting factory defaults did not work. How would I flash the phone or update the firmware?
    Do either of these wipe out my contacts? I also did not mention in my original question that the phone was brought in on Monday because of this problem and they had me purchase a warranty replacement new phone. The same problem both phones. Did they just load whatever the problem was onto the new phone?

I have metro pcs and i have a samsung phone and it wont send text messages but it will receive them. how do i fix it?

I can send text messages but can't receive them. How do I reset my enV3 phone?

That happens to me. The first couple times I just ignored it and after about a week, i would all of a sudden receive the week's worth of texts. Last time it happened, I called the warranty replacement number (18664065154) and the representative had to reset my phone somehow and that fixed it. (He had me try several things before that, none of which worked, and they would probably make you do it also.) But now, it's been about two weeks and my phone is doing it again. So....get used to it.

I have the lg rumor 260 from sprint and it is connected to metro but i dont have text or internet how can i get it

As long as you have Metro as carrier (instead of Sprint which is the carrier that the chip was originally designed for) you won't be able to fully use all the features in your phone. When you switch to a carrier like Metro PCS, they allow you to take the phone that you used with a previous carrier (most of the times, AT&T phones as for I know do not work), by doing what is called a "light flash". They delete certain programming from the phone but do not delete the main "BIOS" software due to legal issues. Companies like Sprint among others are not happy with this Metro PCS initiative, but Metro itself hasn't broken no rule yet.
In other words, what you are trying to do is feasable, there's people that can do it (not in regular cellphone stores) but even if you get it done, Metro won't accept the phone because then they can get in trouble for what I mentioned before. Hope my explanation helps, good luck.

I can't send or receive any text messages all of a sudden. The phone can do everything else.

Thi s happened to me last week. I had to take out my battery and then put it back in. Worked for me!
