The F30 error code will flash when the dispenser motor cannot be driven to its proper position.

Door Unlock Error

A Door Unlock Error occurs if the door cannot be unlocked.
It will try to unlock the door 6 times before displaying the error.

Door Lock Mechanism broken.
Check Door Lock/Switch Assembly for foreign objects
Check Wire Harness connections to the Door Lock/Switch Assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU)
Door Lock/Switch Assembly Failure

If it is a cabrio:
dU flashes if the following conditions occur:

TEST #8 Door Lid Lock
Perform the following checks if washer fails to lock (or unlock).
1. Perform Manual: Door Switch and Manual: Door Lid Lock tests.
2. Remove the console to access the machine/ motor control assembly. See Accessing & Removing the Electronic Assemblies.
3. Visually check that the P12 connector is inserted all the way into the machine/motor control. If visual check passes, go to step 4. If visual check fails, reconnect P4 and repeat step 1.
4. Check the lid lock motor winding and switches by removing P12 from the machine/ motor control and checking the
resistance values....

Component/Resistance Unlocked/Resistance Locked/Contacts Measured/Contacts Measured:

Motor Winding/35 ±5 O/35 ±5 O/P12-2/P12-3/
Lock Switch - Home/0 O/Open Circuit/P12-1/P12-4
Lock Switch - Lock/Open Circuit/0 O/P12-1/P12-7
Lock Switch - Lid/Lid Closed = 0 OLid Open = Open Circuit/Lid Closed = 0 O Lid Open = Open Circuit/P12-1/P12-5

If resistance values are good, go to step 5. If switch measurements do not match the values shown in the table for unlocked (or locked) conditions, a problem
exists in the door lid lock. Replace the door lid lock.
5. If the Manual: Door Switch or Manual: Door Lid Lock in step 1 failed, then the machine/motor control has failed: Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Replace machine/motor control assembly. Perform the Manual: Door Switch and Manual: Door Lid Lock in step 1 to verify repair.

Error code " du "

DU = Door Unlock code

Washing machine displays error code F/DU after six attempts to unlock.
-Door lock assembly failed.
-Test door lock switch
-Visually inspect wire harness connection on CCU, Door lock assembly, replace door lock assembly.

The door lock assemble on this washing machine can be replaced from either the top of the front. The door boot can be removed or the top of the washer can be removed.

Hope this helps.

I am getting the code on my frontload washer F du, it is making a clicking sound the water starts to fill , then the code comes up..I am not able to find this code in my manual ..I am thinking that maybe...

The DU in the display is an error code for the door lid not unlocking. This is an indication that the lid lock assembly has failed or the control board is unable to determine if the lid is unlocked. This usually indicates that the lid lock assembly will need to be replaced.

Lid lock won't release ?

On this washer, the dl code indicates a failed lid lock mechanism. Pressing pause/cancel should reset the controls.

You may have to unplug the unit for 20-30 minutes, then restore the power.

If that doesn't work, the only other solution would be to replace the door lock assembly.

DU error code

The Kenmore Oasis and Whirlpool Cabrio washers are essentially the same. Following is the Whirlpool Installation and service manual for their Cabrio washers.

The DU indicates a problem with the door Un-lock mechanism. See the section on troubleshooting2.gif and display codes.

Du error code on whirlpool cabrio

that code is for the door unlock error. is it possible that you may have tried really hard to open the units lid when it was locked? if so the door lock may have been broken. if not, then try to unplug the unit for a few minutes and try a new cycle.
if the code comes up again then you will have to call for free service as it has a 1 year warranty for parts and labor. yes even if you broke the lid lock!!! dont worry it happens when you get something new and are not sure how it works.

Locked Lid, error code "du"

blat, unplug the washer for 30 seconds and plug it back in. Hit the power key and do the following: press any key except for power, start and stop in this order, press and hold for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds, press and hold for 3 secnds, release for 3 seconds, press and hold for 3 seconds. The 88 should light up in the display if done right. While the 88's are showing (you have about 5 seconds) press the same key again. You are now in the manual test mode. Now by pressing the 2nd rinse or xtra rinse button, you should be able to lock and unlock the door mechanism. You can check the p-12 harness on the main board to make sure it is seated all the way. This test proceedure has to be done pretty precise or it will fail....Catriver...post back.

Oasis - DU and LF error codes

Ky, see if you can put the machine in the service mode by doing this: turn the washer on, select any one button except for power, start and stop. press and hold it for 3 seconds--release for 3 seconds--press and hold for 3 seconds--release for 3 seconds--press and hold for 3 seconds....if you entered it correctly all the indicators will light for 5 seconds and 88 will show in the 2 digit display..It will now go into a automatic test cycle. If no faults are found it should unlock the top. This auto test will go through c0 to c9, you will see it in the display. If this all fails, you can access your wash by pushing in the clips on the left and right side front of the washer lid. The whole top will lift up. I would still call for service while it's under warranty. Catriver...post back.
