A small partition on the hard drive contains a record of all software installed at the factory and shipped with this system. This includes images for the Microsoft Operating System and supplemental products. If you have a problem with the operating system or device drivers, the programs on the recovery partition can restore the PC to proper operation.

  • Click Start , type Recovery in the search field, and click on Recovery Manager when it appears in the program list to open the Recovery Manager window.
  • Click Advanced options .
  • Restore the system to the way it was when you bought it.

If your installation of windows is corrupt or damaged, you may no longer be able to make a recovery disk.
If you can boot the computer, look in system tools for the make a recovery disk option.
You could try fixing this installation, try this guide.

After when i reset HP Mini 110-3735dx the system no more found it( an operating system wasn t found)

    redux 1
NO OS STATED before the ***** of pc. W7 was new
    is it w8, w8.1 or W10 (slammed )
    F11 dead. got you.
    that means (list)
    the hdd is bad.
    or
infected with virus (damaged F11 partitions recovery)
    or
some one put a Microsoft disk (not HP)
and did a install not using HP media.
    bam
    I call it slammed.
    http://pcdied.com/XP-sux-sg.html#slammed

if I boot that PC and it run under say
knoppix 7 perfectly , then the PC is ok
if the disk test passes, then the HDD is ok
and only the partition (HP restore) is damaged or missing on said HDD.
is it missing, did you look ? we use that same linux disk to LOOK... to see

the knoppix disk tests are here. under bad hdd.

    http://pcdied.com/brick-dead.html

    http://pcdied.com/brick-dead.html#Knoppix

    the order is this, flow)
1: is the PC ok? battery ok, coin cell ok?
2: test PC with Knoppix 7
    is pc ok?
3: test PC HDD with Knoppix disk tests.
looking at SMART data first, is now out of spare clusters and lots of dead clusters growing,
yes, bad hDD, or even its dead, then we run the full hDD test using Knoppix boot stick,
4: ok hdd seems ok, i look at the Hp recover partition. using same knoppix.
is it missing, or obviously damaged or files missing?
    then it was slammed.
5: we then install fresh what ever OS you want.
how to do that and choices are many.
best is the HP media kit , to make it like new.
other use other ways and take days to find all the missing pieces, (humpty-dumptied)
I can do that latter my self ,done so 1000s of times.
(I go to HP and see what is there and get all these files)
the PC came with W7, if your PC was not w7 now
that means you slammed the PC, with W10.
you have yet to say what OS you ran before it died.
if w7 great, if w10, ouch..

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-mini-110-3700-pc-series/5082187/model/5111936

    if you have damaged F11,
install w7 any why you can, (most ways fail)
a real MS disk from MS actual will work to a POINT.
the MS disk will miss many HP drivers. and all apps
so go to the above link and get them all
warning HP only SUPPORTS W7 on this PC> period.

How do i erase all my personal data on my mac mini?

That depends on what operating system you have. If it's 10.6.8 or older, you need the operating system install discs that came with your computer. Just put it in and restart the computer. When you here the start up chime, press and hold the C key to boot from disc. Then in the utilities bar on the top, select disk utility and then the top left hard drive icon in the side bar do the disk utility application. Go to the erase option on the right portion of the screen and make sure the erase option says MAC OS JOURNALED and click erase. That wil remove all data off of the hard drive including the operating system. After that is done, you can reinstall the OS with the disks.

if your OS is newer than 10.6.8, hold option after the apple start up chime, this will let you select bootable drives that the computer detects, there should be a recovery partion, select that and repeat the steps in disk utility I mentioned above.

HP mini 110-1025DX act as though it has no OS. Start up: POST, display shows three options F9, F10, or F12. Cannot access BIOS due to missing password. Owner states a virus has been downloaded (pop up...

    2009 PC, getting old,
it's not a virus in the BIOS ROM, sorry but is not.!
it had stinking XP on it, so the virus magnet did is it always does.
XP has over 700 exploits, end rant, upgrade it .

the way to trouble shoot any notebook or laptop is get the big battery out. first. unplug it. if BIOS asks ODD. or dead.
then make sure the coin cell reads 2.9v to 3.3v, less is bad.'

then BIOS works, seems it does, just someone set the silly PW.
    and is BIOS password locked
HP has a fix for this PW lock, and secret unlock, see last link below.

    possibles.
bad HDD , run linux boot disk test.
can you boot to usb stick with F9 or is F9 bios locked
wish I could see it , or you tell all things that work or not.

if bios f9 key works must how would you get to Gparted,
my guess is you did boot to LINUX media and ran Gparted.
    so that leaves what?.
F11 is dead, recovery part, erased. RIP XP for ever, yea.
the OS is dead,? but hdd dead makes OS dead. so...
so run the linux disk test and smart test first.
if that passes then and only now can load the OS from HP media.
next buy a new OS and install it of HDD is ok
if not , new HDD and new OS time.
i use UBUNTU disk (is use a usb stick iso linux), then boot it and click LIVE UBUNTU. yah.
    and then run disk test.

    like here.

    the Pw reset is here,
the real HP is here the real deal ask them,

they ask for service tag data.!!!

Key codes wore off sticker can I retrive ?

There is no option available to retrieve the product key of the Operating System. However, the version of Operating System can be found in System Information page. To view this, perform the below steps:
    1. Right click on ‘My Computer’
    2. From the drop down list click on ‘Properties’.

This will open the System Information page where the version of installed Operating System.

Further, your PC is shipped with OEM version Operating System and that does not require an activation when reinstall from recovery manager. However, if it prompts for a product key, then contact HP.

Hp mini 110-1100 tord says bootmgr is missing

if you're running in vista cause vista usually have this error, or other OS, you can often fix it right back up using the original Vista installation disk or other os disk, which comes with a pretty extensive System Recovery Tool that's got lots of options (see screengrab). Set your computer to boot from DVD (using the Boot setting in the BIOS), insert the disc and restart. Vista will prompt you for language and keyboard layout options, then ask if you want to reinstall Vista or repair your installation. You want Repair. From there Vista's System Recovery Tool will take over, and lead you down the road to happy vistages again.

Do i need a windows disk to reprogram my laptop if i erase everything off my laptop?

    Yes.
However, given the terminology you are using, you better find someone that knows a lot more than you do about computers before performing this task.
