Every few minutes, my computer including the cursor freeze. I can do nothing. It looks to me like it is updating or doing something with the software.

This can happen with bad memory or a bad disk.

Run a memory test: is free if you download.

Also to check the disk run a disk test program. HDD will find the first error for free.

Disk manufactures also have disk checking software but they don't repair the problem. They just tell you it is bad.

Sounds like your dealing with a software issue. Most likely a video driver. if there was a recent time that the machine worked, I'd run a system restore. Then look for what might have been installed that caused this problem so you can stay away from it.

Cursor stuck

it could either be it getting old and freezing up, or it could be spyware.look through your programs and features list located on the control panel.if you see anything like sendori,, wizard 101 crown genorater or something like that, download spyhunter imediatly.i had it for a few minutes and it found over 5,000 cookies and viruses!!!!!!!

Acer Aspire One Netbook Freezes Constantly Playing Video

ive got a kav60 netbook and the video and audio freezes, makes a nasty buzzing sound. i also have a problem with my mouse, it goes crazy, or sometimes doesnt respond unless i apply pressure to one side of the netbook (slightly bending). tried disconnecting the touchpad, and applying an external usb mouse, but it sometimes freezes the cursor,or the cursor does its own thing. please help

  • If you're having problems with Windows Update, make sure you're connected to the Internet, and then download and run the Windows Update Troubleshooter for your version of Windows.

    Why does the cursor freeze on my brand new computer (out of the box for about 30 minutes)? Acer Aspire 5534 Tried to create backup disk & cursor froze, restarted my computer & cursor froze again....

    Acer has a recovery icon in desktop no need to back up a new PC.....But i would advise u take it back...that freezing is an error in the OS system

    Windows XP Freezes Completely

    it sounds like the device is giving u an IRQ conflict on the computer, IRQ conflict has to do with the computer and the device and the communication. first remove the device from the program list then restart the computer then connect the device to a different usb port and install the device. hope it helps
