Question about Amana ABB1927DE Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
That is the compressor not able to start. Remove the back bottom panel, so you can access the compressor. Unplug the machine.
Clipped to the body of the compressor are either 2 o3 start components.
Unclip the cover and they will pull of the pins of the compressor body. They will consist of, the thermal overload protector, the start relay nd on some models a start/run capacitor.
Take these components to any reputable appliance parts house with the complete model number.
Most appliance parts houses will be more than glad to test them for you. Any found defective replace.
If they all test good then the problem lies in the compressor itself, and you will need the services of a qualified service tech to test the compressor itself.
P.S. If this machine is under 5 years of age, leave it alone, and call a qualified Amana service station for service. The compressor carries a 5 year warranty and they frown on any tampering with the compressor or compressor components.
