If it has a hash mark to the left of the d1 going in a circle it is actually DL for downloading. let it do its thing. it can take a while. it is downloading the new software/firmware for the system. do not power cycle while it is doing it or it will start over or just go kaput and need to switch it out. if it doesnt resolve after a hour or two...may need to switch anyway.

Video out is wrong aspect ratio for 16:9 tv

You will have to set this on your TV as you Motorola receiver is not HD and it won't fill your TV screen. So i suggest to put your screen in standard mode until you get a HD receiver.

I have a Jensen TS2750J model ... am trying to hook up and be able to process the HD that the home I rent a room from receives that signal from their cable company ... but don't know how to get my TV...

Hi.

The setting on your tv for the best signal is the HRC setting.
HRC stands for High Resolution Cable.

If you connect the cable to the blue jack, and set your tv to HRC, when you scan for stations, it should pick up all of them, not just the analog cable stations.

Now, some cable companies require an additional adapter, provided by them, in order to recieve the cable signal properly.

This adapter is called a digital transport adapter.

You should contact the cable provider, and see if the adapter is required in order to recieve their signal properly.

I hope this helps you out.

Good luck to you, and have a good day.

MY TV IS NOT SHOWING ANY PICTURE OR SOUND ON ANY OF THE STATIONS IT SHOW WEAK SIGNAL WHAT SHOULD I DO

Hi,

I don't think there is any problem with your TV. I think problem is from your cable receiver or antenna depending on the cable network that you are using.

To confirm, connect your TV to a DVD player and let's see if there is going to be sound and picture on your TV. If TV works perfectly with the DVD, then it means your antenna or cable receiver/decoder needs to be check. There might be a temporal network problem with your network provider.

Let me know the outcome of connecting the TV to a DVD player so that I can tell you the way forward.

Your sincerely.

I was watching my TV last night and the screen went to grey. I tried other channels and they appear with the station but the screen remains grey. I can get a picture through the DVD recorder and it records...

Generally in these cases that means it's a faulty cable or loose connection.

On LCD's if the screen dies or anything internally for that matter, the screen would stay black. Grey means a signal is coming through, but it's being able to receive it.
Solution:

Check your cables for any loose connections or try alternate cables going to your tv set.

Hope that helps. If you need anymore help let me know :)

Is the cabling from the satellite receiver to the DVR hooked up right. It sounds like it's in single mode, but with the coax cable put on the wrong way.
