I have a Kenmore Refrigerator model 106.60232900-Serial # EY 4912400 and when it is on the proper # set for the Freezer/Refrigerator ther is frost/dripping on a frosrree Refrigerator. I have changed the temperature gauge for the bottom because things would freeze, and after I put it back on the suggested # it now will not get very cold again after 2 days. SOURCE: Kenmore Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

hi In some cases, a faulty thermostat may not be the cause of a warm refrigerator or freezer. A warm box may also be caused by a defective fan, a blocked fan, or broken or bent fan blades. If the blades are jammed, try to free them. If they're bent, straighten them with pliers. If this doesn't solve the problem, call a professional service person.

On some refrigerators, the door switch operates the evaporator fan. If the fan seems to be malfunctioning, the door switch could be faulty. Test the switch as detailed in the last page, and replace it if necessary.

My kenmore fridge model 596 65232402 isnt cooling properly and freezer is. What is the problem

There's a damper that controls air flow from freezer to refrigerator. Sounds like it's stuck or that the "balance" control in your refrigerator is set too warm or not connected to the damper.

The refrigerator side of my kenmore refrigerator does not cool

Make sure the evaporator fan is operating. Since the fresh food side is cooled by the air flow from the freezer side. Check for blockage of the air duct from the freezer to the fresh food side. Set the temp control half way. Over adjusting this setting can cause problems with cooling. If I can help you any farther, let me know.

The lowest setting in the freezer compartment may be set to cold holding back cooling to the refrigerator. Try your settings at mid-point on both refrigerator and freezer settings.
