I am trying to connect my NES to my 40" Dynex HD TV through the AV cables and the tv says no signal but i unhooked the HDMI cable and tried the AV cables for my xbox and the xbox worked fine. How can...

  • Well the XBox has it's own AV cable pack it uses. The AV cords you are using for the NES are a separate set that are apparently bad. So to play using the AV cords you just need to pick up a new $2usd pair or see if you have a pair laying around the house.

  • You do have a coak input on the back of your TV so if you have an old coax cord laying around the house you can use the RF bonx that cam with the NES. Hook the coax from the TV to the "OUTPUT" side of the RF box and then run the little RF cord to the NES. Then turn the TV to channel 3 or 4 and you can play it that way.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

My xbox cuts on abut wont connect

I'm thinking bad AV cable or bad port on your TV. I assume the Xbox dash board won't come up, if so the "no signal" message is a TV error message not an Xbox error message.

Try a different port on the TV and/or a different TV; also try a different AV cable.

Good luck. Please rate, thanks.

your av cabeles could be on the wrong setting try to change from hdmi to tv on the end of the av cable that goes into the xbox. if it still dosent work then try to change the imoprt slots or try your cabels on another tv to see if its your cables thats the problem if you get signal on the other tv then its your first tv. but if you dont your av cabels mite be going i sugjest buying a new set if the other options dont work

Which wires doi use to connect up my xbox with my

In order to connect your Laptop with Xbox 360, you will have to use the ethernet cable that came along with the Xbox 360,

For connecting the Xbox 360 to TV you would be having a HD AV cable if you have a Xbox 360 Pro model, you would have to insert one part of this cable with 3 colored wires red, blue and green to your composite video port behind your tv with similar color coding, and on the Xbox 360 HD AV cable you have an option to choose either TV or HD video output based on your TV make, also this cable has two more wires red and white meant for audio connectivity which would go to audio port behind TV with same color code ports

If you have got a normal AV cable with Xbox 360 then it would be a a wire with one single yellow colored wire for video and two wires Red and White for audio

I got four red rings then it just shut off

Hello-

If you have FOUR Red Rings on your XBOX, it means that you have a problem with your AV cable.

First, check the little switch on the AV cable. (it normally should be set to "TV" and not "HDTV")
Second, try swapping the AV cable with a known working one.
If that does not correct the problem, try cleaning the inside of the AV cable port on the back of the console.
As a final test, (if your XBOX and TV have the HDMI ports) try using the HDMI cable to see if the Red Ring goes away.

If that does not resolve the problem, please feel free to call us to discuss in more detail.

try using different A/V cords or a different tv. if your hooked up to HDMI then you should just try using a normal A/V tv and see how that goes.

Can only get snow on tv screen

Try Changing the AV cable from HDTV to normal TV unless your TV is HD the cable Setting on HDTV will not work. You have to turn off the system and then change the switch. Then turn on your system.

If this doesnt fix your problem then Either of two things has happend your AV cable has gone bad or the chip that enables the AV cord inside the XBOX has bit the dust. If this is the case you will need to contact MS.

No picture or sound on the tv

where you put the cables for the sound and picture if you look on the end where you plug it into the xbox 360 you will see a little switch it has HD and TV on it depending on what your tv supports (HD ready TV) (normal TV) switch that switch to what TV you have (e.g. HD TV, switch the switch to HD) if that doesnt work then try checking that you have all the cables in the right ports if you have pluged the HD cables into a normal TV then this is not going to work, check cables and check the switch!
