Wont get much info there.(manual). Suggest you defrost fridge overnight then locate the drain tube behind the fridge on top of the compressor. Blow into the pipe aggressively until blockage is clear. When clear, switch back on and presto.

Need a diagram of Amana top freezer refrigerator model #ATB2132ARW My fridge has a clogged drain tube, but I can't locate the drain.

I can't find a diagram but have a different model Amana. The drain tube on mine was located just above the drip pan under the refrigerator. It was a soft plastic/rubber and had become clogged due to something sticky that stuck it together. Caused the freezer water to back up and after cleaning the tube, I had to defrost the refrigerator completely to melt the ice blocking the tube at th top (in the freezer). Sorry I can't help with more info.

Water Leaking Inside Refrigerator

If water leaks inside your refrigerator
(and it WILL, at some point) you can fix
it yourself. My 26 year old fridge was leaking
and I fixed it completely. It is a Kenmore
top freezer, bottom refrigerator model.

In the good old models, one had to defrost the
fridge every few months manually.

In the recent models, the fridge defrosts automatically,
once or twice a day, and the water is supposed to drain
down a long drain tube into a pan located at the bottom of
the fridge. This collected water in the pan evaporates
by the heat under the fridge.

Now the drain tube can get clogged, by food debris and/or
ice. Thus when the water cannot drip through the drain tube
the water drips inside the fridge.

The drain tube is located behind the fridge, which is pretty
easy to take it out and clean. However usually the clog is
not in the long tube but in the connector assembly located
in the backside of the fridge that leads to the long drain tube.

To get to the connector assembly, you need to unscrew and
take out the back panel of the freezer compartment. You would
see the evaporator coil and a tray under the coil where the water
is supposed to drip through. If you find the tray completely frozen
with ice, let it melt off. To speed up melting, you may blow
hot air via a hair dryer. Once the ice is clear, you should see
a drain hole in the middle of the tray. This could be clogged,
which needs to be unclogged.

Next unscrew and open the thermostat control assembly located
in the inside of the back of the refrigerator compartment just above
the light bulb fixture. Once you take the cover off (you will
also have to take the knobs out) you will see a small tray cup about
2" x 2" x 1/2" into which water from the top freezer compartment
drain hole is supposed to drain. Pull out the tray cup, and if clogged,
unclog it, clean it and put it back.

To check if the drain works ok, pour some water on the tray
under the evaporator coil (top freezer compartment) and see if it
immediately drains into the tray located at the bottom of the fridge
at the floor level. If it does, you got it; and you can assemble things
back in the reverse order you took the pieces apart.

Needless to say, use a vacuum cleaner with a long suction tube to clean
out all the collected mess under the fridge. No matter how good
your housekeeping is, the bottom of the fridge will be full of dust.
With lot of patience (I mean lots of it) you should be saving hundreds
of dollars. Attached are some pictures I took. Call me before you dig !

Ge top freezer model tbx211a leaking water on occasion inside fridge

Drain is clogged inside freezer.

Your model number is missing a few characters, but this model should have a black tube coming out of the back side of your refrigerator about 1/2 way from the floor that drains into a pan underneath near compressor. Check this first to see if it is clogged. Carefully pull it off where it enters the back wall (will need to pull out refrigerator to access this) try running a wire into tube to clear and pour water down tubing to make sure it is clear.

Next you may need to pull the back panel inside freezer to excess evaporator coils. Turn off or unplug refrigerator while doing this and pour hot water onto ice build up under coils. Once that is clear and water is draining fine into pan under refrigerator, reassemble and your problem should be solved for a few more years again.

My drain tube is clogged and water keeps pooling on the floor of the refrigertor. I need help locating access to the tube, please.

Switch of fridge for at least 6 hours. Behind the fridge , usually mounted above the comperssor you will find a drain pan, above which you will find a tube which drains water from the freezer. Use a stiff wire ( straightened out clothes hanger) and push through until the blockage is cleared. Alternatively you can access the drain tube from the freezer end after opening the panel that houses the eveporator fan

Water from defrosting leaks into the bottom of the freezer and freezes into a solid sheet of ice, which I chip out every 1 to 2 weeks. Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator Model 795.65002400.

Water buildup in fridge

Same problem ...same fridge, different serial though.

Drain tube is blocked, but you'll have to take off the back panel inside the freezer, and look at where the drain tube is (usually centre).
the plastic/surrounding opening of the drain tube in our case was starting to rust out, allowing the leak to persist.
special silicon sealant worked for about 1.5 years, but the insert that is inside the freezer should be replaced.

no you can't get an insert they're not available

My 98 Roper fridge leaks from the freezer into the fridge. Nothing is in the drain pan underneath. What should I do?

most cases your freezer drain hole is frozen or clogged, you can try to turn off the unit with doors open for 24hrs. in most cases it will reset by it self. also check door gaskets for open gaps or drain hole is clogged by debris, remove freezer panels to get access to drain hole, clean it with a 1/4 inches plastic tube, you just have to push it in and out. Good luck.

I have a GE TBX25PAXCRWW top mount freezer model. It is leaking water from the light switch. I would assume it is a blocked evap line. Do I access it from the insde of the freezer or outside.

Your problem is a clogged defrost drain . This is accessed from inside the freezer section and by removeing the rear freezer panel . Use a hairdryer to defrost the pan , under the coils . Also , the drain line for your model , is located behind the refrig . So , you only have a short area between the drain hole and drain line , to clear . I would suggest blowing thru the drain hose behind the refrig also , to make sure it is clear .

Kenmore # 63142 Fridge -- Water in Freezer

If water drains out, then there is always a blockage somewhere on drain line.

Defrost the unit completely to get rid of ice building inside drain lines.

If that does not work , then the drain line must be unlocked using a flexible shaft.
