Question about Bosch WFMC2100UC Nexxt Essence Washer

1 Answer

Hi, my 5 year old Bosch washer has started making a noise when it's on the slow side to side spin (not fast spin). It's a periodic creaking noise that occurs when the tumbler is in motion. The noise goes away when the tumbler goes to the fast spin. Any ideas?

Mine also sounds like it has that problem. it's almost like a squeaky spring and the more weight in the tub the louder it sounds....but only on the slow tumbles. i just had the cold water inlet value replaced last month and just last week it starts making that odd sound. so i just had a repairmen come look at mine. he said it sounds like a "normal" sound and noticed it happened when the direction switched. he said he would have to take the entire thing apart to try and find the "problem" (could be the belt, suspension, etc.) but couldn't guarantee he could find nor fix it. (he also didn't think it would have been caused by the leak) i'm clearly not satisfied with that answer (which is why i'm trolling around looking for others who have this problem). i think i'm going to get a second opinion. i could update you on that if you find this information relevant.

Maytag washer makes loud grinding noise during the spin cycle

if it's making a noise then either your drain pump bearing is going out or your thrust bearing is going out (assuming the noise happens in both spin and wash). Tip the washer backwards so that you can get underneath of it. Take the belt off and spin the pump pulley on the right side. This should spin effortlessly.

The middle pulley is the trustbearing pulley. Spin this--- one direction it should have a little bit of resistance--- the other should have more resistance

GE WPXH214ACC Washer drum makes loud noise when spinning sometimes. We've had it since 2005 & never had this happen before. Washer is level, must stop & redistribute clothes to correct. Just started happening now.

check and make sure the washer is LEVEL otherwise when in spin, it may "walk" across the floor. also if it's not level then the tub will "tilt" in one direction and may contribute to the thump, thump.

Ticking/chirping sound during slow spin

it will more than likely be a bra wire stuck between inner and outer drum it will only sound when clothing is in it due to the weight of clothing and water so it wont be heard with just water init or by pushing it around by hand only thing u can really do is eiether strip it yourself or by getting an engineer in but what i would do is leave it after a while it will dislodge itself and go into the pipe underneath the washer in the pipe that is in the middle of the drum check this when the sound stops love
