Uniden PC-100

Hi all (delurking)

I recently purchased a Uniden PC-100 for a road trip I am taking overseas. I
need it for contact management, Email, and whatever scheduling deals I have.
I had a problem with it crashing on me; it would freeze up and I had to
remove the batteries to get it to unfreeze. In this process I lost all my
vital data. Is this something I will experience over and over? I really
don't relish having to go through the frustration I did with my first one.
    I looked at the Palm V and found it to be cool but as far as what I need
it to do it was not enough features.
Is there a FAQ for this group? I am new to the Palmtop world.
