Try your headphones in the jack for the speakers, if they work there, then you can be pretty sure that your speakers are not working.
if they do not work, you may need to uninstall and reinstall your sound drivers. make sure that your sound settings are not muted, and check your BIOS settings to see if your on board audio is enabled
