Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
CAUTION: Following these steps can result in the loss of all saved games, demos, & etc... Resetting the PS3: Unplug the power cord and wait a couple of minutes to plug it back in. Press & hold the "On\Off" button on the front of the PS3 until you hear 4 beeps (1-1-2). Take your finger off the button just after the 4th beep. You may have to go thru those steps a couple of times or more before it goes to the 4th beep without turning off. Once you get it to go to the 4th beep and it stays on it should start going thru a "reset" mode. You will have to attach your USB cable to your controller & PS3. Just follow the on-screen prompts from there. Remember, loss of your game data could occur in the process, but its not really any use to you if you can't get the PS3 to start up to play games anyway. You will have a few options to chose from. I suggest trying the "restart" option prior to a "reboot" or "reset" of your PS3. Typically, this type of thing occurs if you've had your PS3 plugged into an HDTV and then connected back to a Standard-Def TV. For some reason the PS3 finds this un-agreeable alot of times. I would suggest that you keep it attached to one TV, and not move it from place-to-place very often.
