My laptop turns off suddenly . It is working

My laptop turns off suddenly . It is working without battery(The battery went drained.I couldnt find a matching battery within my country. So I removed it to prevent liquid leakages-It worked more than a year in that batteryless state) . Now it keeps turning off within 5-10 minutes(not shutting down-its like turning off a lamp from its switch) . Its like a pattern,i mean if I put it turned off for some hours,it works for some minutes.More time kept it turned off is giving more working time. But the maximum 15-20 mins after a 5-6 days turned off. Please somebody help me..... My laptop is SOTEC AFINA note AN360xp

Have you tried a different ac adapter? Sounds like a capacitor issue though. You might want to check your local pc repair people. What country are you in? I might be able to find the part you need if you can't find it locally. email me at juan_perez_perez_mcse@yahoo.com if you like.

SOURCE: shut down suddenly

Do you get any error-beeps of any kind? Like the battery is going empty? Or does it just go off suddenly? If the first is the case, your power connector in the computer or perhaps the powersupply could be broken. It could sound like your battery doesn't get charged and your computer isn't getting power. Then it will shut down. See if the power/charge indicator is on when connected to the power grid.

If it blacks out suddenly it's probably a more severe problem, but you might try to reinstall the OS (I'm guessing windows), but only as a last resort.

SOURCE: My Dell Laptop is not turning on

Try removing the battery, then plugging it in and power ON the laptop without that. Maybe the battery or the battery terminal is shorted out.

SOURCE: laptop sudden poweroff randomly

I googled "fujitsu laptop forum" and read a couple of posts and it may be an AC input jack problem. If the computer does this without the battery and only AC plugged in then you could assume it's not the battery or charging circiuts. Some laptops get mother board problems but that was not what I read. It wouldn't hurt to go to http://forum.notebookreview.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7 and post your problem. good luck.

SOURCE: VAIO VGN-CS215 J doesnt turn on

If the pc cannot be switched on it is useless buying a post test card. since something might have been damaged internally you might need to take it to a professional to be able to open it up. if the battry contacts or power contacts are wet or have been wet whilst powering on then some level of damage might have been done to the board. but the last word counts only when the laptop is dismantled.

I am sorry but if it has no response at all there must be something with the power section.

My acer laptop 5750 went to blackscreen , even when turning off and on again, it kept black .

my solution is: Let your laptop on to drain your battery, once its drained, try turning on and feel if it doesn't have battery.

then charge your laptop for 4 hours, mine went back to work just fine

the display works fine 04/18/2014 good luck.

My HP Pavilion DV5000t 1.6GHz Core DUO Centrino Was on and suddenly went out, when I press the power button just blinks the battery icon two or three times. What could it be?

Hi,

The battery is discharged, you would need to charge the notebook. If the power is plugged in and still the issue is there. Remove the batter and connect the power cable without the battery and turn on the notebook (without battery). If it turns "On" the battery has gone bad.

Shrey

2.unplug the charger
3. remove the battery
and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery. After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer

Hi,
I would suggest you to check with a different adapter, first.
You don't have to buy a new adapter for that.
Try to borrow from someone who has a compatible adapter.

Turning off

Perform power drain ( remove all accesories including the battery and the power adapter) press the power button for 1 minute.

Connect the power adapter only then turn on the computer - try using for more than 1 hour. If the computer does not shut down then the issue is the battery.

Run anti virus software.

If problem still persist it is a posible hardware issue. If you are still in warranty you can call sony and they can help you fix the issue for free.

I just solved the problem. The lens system wire connector to the main pcb was out of this female conector. Only you need its disassemble the camera and in the back of the lcd there's the conector, press it with carefully and test your camera.

BE CAREFULLY WITH THE LCD WIRE WHEN YOU TURN IT.

Charging problems

Hopefully the battery is just confused and needs to be reset. Drain the battery down until the system shuts off automatically, then take the battery out of the laptop for two minutes and plug it back in, and connect the AC adapter, let it charge without turning the laptop on, then turn it on and hopefully it should work fine again. If not then you may need to buy another battery. Try again with another AC adapter just in case because you don't want to replace your battery (expensive!)

Please rate, thanks!

Battery not charging

It's only a guess, but sounds like you will need a new battery. The blinking LED is common with a bad battery.
