This Shredder is an Aurora AS650C Rebranded for Walmart as Durabrand. You can call Aurora at 800-327-8508 8-5 PST and tell them that you need one of the plastic gears for the WM6X Durabrand, they know exactly what your talking about, and will offer you two gears. The one that is in contact with the drive motor is gear "A" and the Plastc reduction gear that drives the steel gears is gear "B" Hope this helps

I have a simple solution if you can think outside of the box. When my gear stripped, I chucked away the electrics, and now drive the shredder via a crank handle on the side. It gives good excercise, and isn't difficult to turn with anything up to 6 or so sheets.
If you want to do this, open the machine, and remove the smaller gear at the opposite end of the drive (take off the circlip) to expose a hex shaped shaft. You can also chuck all of the electrics, and all but the two gears that are on the shredder shafts. Then cut a hole through both the top casing, and through the bucket, to line up with the shaft end and allow a 9/16 socket to pass through. When reassembled, there is sufficient room to drive the mechanism with a standard 3/8 drive ratchet, although you could make a fancier drive with a handle on.

Hi, I am English but have retired to Spain....However when I came over to Spain I brought over all my tools which I use for my hobbies. I have a number of Draper tools and find them some of the best on...

Draper Multi-Tool Stock Number 62727 Part No PT95K coupling repair replace.

I came up with a home fix for this issue since it seems this little Draper part isn't available anywhere in the universe - simply use a short piece of neoprene tubing as a connector or coupling.

As long as the tubing wall is thick enough (thin walls might flex too much), and the inner hole is small enough to fit snugly on those two end shafts, it should work fine. Anyhow, if the tubing does break or tear or start to slip, or whatever, just use another piece of tube.

My tubing was 13mm outer diameter and the wall thickness was 2mm. So an inner hole diameter of 9mm.

Make sure when you cut your tubing you account for it having to extend as far as it can go - it actually fits right down into the outer ridge. See my arrows on the one pic, if you're not sure what I mean.

PS. If you're lucky enough to be able to order on eBay, check out the Dremel shaft coupling part - it seems as though it might work here, too. Just cut it down to size.

All I did was:

1) cut my piece of tube and drop it into boiling water for a few seconds to soften it.
2) Take it out and quickly fit (force) it onto the end of the chuck side shaft. I chose that shaft as it's loose and I could fit the tube properly, plus I need to dip the tubing in the boiling water again and you can't do that if you've used the motor side first.
3) Dip the tubing in the boiling water again for a few seconds. Don't go too deep as you have a bearing there.
4) Lift the motor out slightly and force the tubing over the end, making sure it's seated right down.
5) Drop the entire joined up shaft into its place and put the side of the machine back in place for a few minutes. This makes sure the shafts are aligned while the tubing cools and hopefully shrinks a bit onto the two ends.
6) Open the side cover and check it's all good. Close up and away you go.

Bandsaw tire part #41815, where to buy?

A bandsaw tire is usalley defined by the size of the saw. A example is a 12" x 80" bandsaw means that the wheel (tire) is 12" and the blade is 80" . If you are unsure just measure the wheel size.

Then go online and type in (example) 12" bandsaw tires.

You will soon see that there are a few different choices in material , the stock ones from sears are cheap but will do the job. Then there are the poly orange ones that cost more but don't slip like the stock ones.

Also type in bandsaw tires on YouTube this may help because changing them can be a pain.

Hope this helped, I asked the same questions when I got my first Saw years ago and am glad to pass it on. If this helped I would apperciate a comment.
