My Samsung J700 sometimes mutes itself. As in, someone calls me, I hear the ring, I answer, they hear me, but I can't hear them. Or, I call someone, but my phone makes no noise. I can see that they've answered, but I can't hear anything. However, they can hear me. It's not all the time, but is getting frequent. I'm not doing anything different than before. Suggestions on how to fix this? I've tried going to phone settings-volume key to switch that, thinking maybe I was inadvertently hitting the volume key and muting people, but that didn't help, either. I even wet to profiles-reset settings, but the problem still exists.

Hi, when you call someone and they can't hear you, mean that the mouth
piece mic located and the lower part inside the phone is faulty and has
stopped working.
You will need to replace it for people to hear
you .
more than likely the connection inside the phone for the speaker has broken or become loose. I would recommend taking to your cell phone provider and seeing if they have any means of fixing or replacing the phone.
Receiving Calls 1. To answer a call, touch or open the slide. If the slide is closed, simply slide it up. If the slide is closed, press the Voice Commands key twice, then touch . If the slide is open and the touch buttons are lit, touch . NOTE If you touch Left Soft Key [Quiet] while the phone is ringing, the ringing or vibration is muted for that call. NOTE If you touch Right Soft Key [Ignore] while the phone is ringing, the call will end.
Mute Function The Mute Function prevents the transmission of your voice to the caller. To quickly activate Mute touch Left Soft Key [Mute], then to unmute touch Left Soft Key [Unmute].
NOTE! while doing this you must call someone then while talking with him touch Left Soft Key [Unmute] to Unmute

I know it's a flip phone and I am not familiar with this model, but sometimes the <--> button on the side is pressed by accident, this can adjust the volume [*during a call*] up or down.
