This could be the heating element, receptacle or infinite switch. I would first check the element and element receptacle if it checks out good check the switch. Here is a couple links that will walk you thru this.

My 4H.P. 25 gal. air compressor doesn't work, when i plugged it in it blew the beaker and the outlet. Now it's dead?

Check motor reset on end of motor. Check cord for damage, insure insulation isn't cut. If you've reset your breaker for receptacle , make sure switch for compressor is off, plug in , then flip switch. See if motor attempts to run. If the problem repeats, motor could be shorted if cord is ok.

How to troubleshoot the expandable element in frigidaire gallery professional stove. I have a model fes388wgct and one of the expandable element just turn on the small element.

Good Afternoon Hector,

I understand that the expandable element on your Frigidaire range, model# FES388WGCT, is only turning on the small element. I suggest resetting your appliance, be either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try turning the expandable element on. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

While baking there was a spark and smoke that blew out the breaker

Sometimes there are two breakers, one for the 110v and one for the 230v. The 110v works the light and the clock and such, and the 230v handles the heater elements. If the breaker blew, you might need a repair though. Also always be careful when working with electricity please.

I hit 350 and start on my range and sparks flew out of both sides and now the oven does not work. The stove works but not the oven. can you tell me how to fix this.

It sounds as if the bake element has failed. They cost around 8 to 20 dollars. You will need to unplug the stove first. (Shutting off the stove breaker is good to do before unplugging the stove as an added precaution). On the back of the stove there is a metal
cover with a couple of 1/4 inch hex screws. remove this cover and unplug the bake
element. Then remove the two hex screws inside the oven and slide out the bake element. The model number is located below the oven door behind the drawer to
purchase a replacement. Hope this helps.

Oven erupted like a blow torch why?

The broiler element burned into. Look at the top element and you will see a spot where it is rough, melted or burned. Replace the element by removing the two screws at the back of the oven and pull the wire out a little and unplug the element and plug the new on it.

Poping sound, sparks shooting out and 220 circuit breaker out

Did you move the breaker fully off before turning it back on? make sure the offending burner is off.

It sounds as though the element shorted out.
