Question about Maytag Neptune MDG9700A Gas Dryer
DO stands for Door Open.
Check on the inside of the door and insure that the plastic tab-like, finger-like actuator that fits into the slot on the dryer is still there and not broken.
This tab is what pushes in the door switch on the dryer and let's the dryer know it's safe to start. If it is there, you could have a bad door switch or control board.
I'd suspect the door switch first.
You can take a flat-head screwdriver and stick it into the slot at the door switch while pushing start to see if the dryer runs. If it does, you're door switch is ok. If not, we need to replace the door switch.
I can help you further by getting you part numbers and part-ordering information, but I'll need the make and full model number.
Try those tests and get back to me?
