Question about Altec Lansing BackBeat Plus Mobile Headset
Don't know how helpful this is but if you are using the Altec Lansing backbeat 903, I had a similar problem. I couldn't get the headset to power on or charge(no blue or red lights that blink or stay on), so what I had to do was a reset on the bluetooth/headset. You simply press and hold the power button, then while holding the power button plug in the charger. Of course the chager was plugged into the wall.

This happened to me twice. Returned the first headset but when it happened again I looked the issue up here. To me it seems the problem may have occurred when I tried to connect the headset to my phone when it was already paired to my computer. Don't ask me what happened but in the process the headset seemed to die but a more appropriate comment would be lock. This fixed worked and anyone with a "dead" headset should try this first. It won't hurt. Thanks to the first responder.
