D-Link DIR-655 as Wireless Extender

I have two DIR-655s. I use one as a wireless router in my home office which in garage. The wireless coverage is only strong enough to cover about half of my house. As I have an extra DIR-655, I'd like to use the extra one as a range extender for the rest of the house. Does anyone know how and if this can be done and if so, how to configure it?

Thanks!

Yes. I have it connected with cat 5. I get green lights but no coverage due to no ip. Do you know that it should work?

You need to run "cat. 5-e" cable from the first router to the other.
if this is not an option, purchase a range extender box, which communicates between the two routers.

yes but you will have to buy a signal booster (also know as a range extender) you can find them at places like walmart and other stores that sell computer wireless modems.
