SOURCE: watch band is broken need a new band . unable to

These watches appear to be made by Seiko and they have a service center at the address below. Their web site says that they will repair or replace broke straps if it is within warranty. Is yours in this position. They do not say what happens if it is out of warranty though!

They suggest you ring them before taking any action (like sending it to them).

How do i replace the watch band on a skmei 1197 watch? it has a hard rubber casing like a G Shock, but big screws on the outside when the band attaches. The screws don't seem to come undone.

I was just wondering about the same thing for some hubby's watch (a Skmei also), is in desperate need of a replacement band. I got him a Casio for Christmas but for some reason he loves the old Skmei...I tried unscrewing both sides to no "apparent" avail..."apparent" because it did work the thing is after you unscrew them for a bit, you would need a pointy tool small but yet strong enough to pull the screw out. Put your index finger lightly in front of the screw as you pull it so it doesnt jump and get lost or give you a headache when you gotta go hunting for it. They are HARD to pull out but as long as you unscrew them they will come out no problem. They are different from Casio's G shock in that they are both the same length and screw into the other right at the center where they meet on the inside. Good luck!!!

Missing screw to hold band together need replacement

Most jewelry stores--or even jewelry counters in department and discount stores like Walmart--keep a supply of replacement screws for when one is lost while changing a watch band. Ask around, show them your watch, and you may even get the right screw for free!

mcdevito75 here, Greetings Gary, Your best bet is to find a small watch repair shop in your area, for your specific needs the watch should be seen in person as various screw sizes may be used on different bands.

Lost screw to secure watch band on Skagen 355LGSC

You just have to to see the watchmaker. As all watch band screws are made to particular bracelet, it's allmost impossible to find the right one if you are not in watch repair business. It will not cost too much and will save your time and nerves if you'll ask the watchmaker.
Find your nearest watchmaker and ask for help.
