Question about Tools & Hardware - Others
Depending on the model, the general rule is to put "6" drops of air tool oil into the fitting at the beginning of the work day and when you get back from lunch put another "6" into the fitting. Do not use anything like 3in1 oil. Make sure a good quality air tool oil

Just put oiler somwhere in line between compressor and gun, this should be sufficient. another method is to put single drop of oil into air intake every hour or two - depending on workload, i use oiler. but sometime when this is not feasible, i just put drop or two of oil into air intake on the beginning of the job and maybe another one on midday.

The smoking is normal for a few times after cleaning ,but you might have put to much oil drops in chamber and piston chamber is getting a "vapor lock". Try recleaning with degreaser. Also have you forgotten to set the depth gauge at front of nose.

SOURCE: Paslode nail guns won't shoot
piston is probably jammed
This happens sometimes try holding it up against a board with the trigger depressed and then inset the battery.
The goal is to try to force the firing sequence to get the piston back to the right position with corded units this is simply done by attaching the air hose with the trigger pulled this causes air to rush into the gun chamber pushing the piston back and firing a nail out.
The cause of this is a misfire or jammed nail that stopped the piston in the wrong location so air will not build in the chamber correctly.
Hope that helps
