You did not get the ribbon cable to the USB ports reconnected when you put it back together.

You need to take it appart again, and make sure all cables are connected and not damaged.

If you see the red LED on the front of the PS3, your PS3 is *NOT* off.

81019002 - Error copying saves from location "A" to location "B" not open to connect to store but PS3 can connect to internet.

One of my usb ports on my ps3 slim stopped working

Your usb port might have stopped working, but you can still use it to charge other devices like phones, mp3,etc. However, if the damaged port cannot even charge a device, there is nothing you can do apart from managing the other ports. On the other hand, if the port can still charge devices but cannot detect them, you just have to manage the other hub, and use the damaged on to charge only, okay.

One of the USB ports on my T3504 was damaged. Now none of the ports work. Can I purchase a USB expansion card to solve the problem?

a usb expansion port would work. its likely however that the pins in the damaged port are shorting out, try to look into the port and move any pins apart that are touching

Ps3 wont read disc

First you need to verify that all types of discs won't read. there are 3 types that a ps3 will play CD, DVD and BluRay. If none of them work then your laser is either dirt and needs to be cleaned or is bad. If say dvd and cd works than the BluRay part of the lens needs to be calibrated which requires takign the system apart an voiding warranties.

Ps3 wireless controller wont turn on

1) try leaving it on to charge via a usb powered port for a day if lights come on,
if not hould down the playstation button for 1min and make sure the ps3 is not on even stand by
then plug the controler into the ps3 with the cable turn the ps3 on with out the controlonce loaded now try.
if still does not work then you need to get a next control.

hope that helps

PS3 USB ports won't work

All I could say is have a person who is really smart with technology take your Ps3 aapart and check the diodes on your fuse board (green plate that has a buncha little things on it). check to see if your diodes could be burnt or possobly loose. unless you can take it apart but have troubles putting it back together i wouldent try it. have a really smart person fix it. not a scientist or some guy from a company...justi make sure they no wat they are doing. I messed up my USBs by having a short in my keyboard. it tells me to plug in my controler but It wont read my controlers. theres a 92% chance its somthing wrong with my USB ports. I hope this helps you out.

Have exteranal usb card -

sounds like the daughter card may be partially disconnected from the main motherboard. The usb ports on this model are on a seprate daughter card, and connect using a small socket to the bottom of the main motherboard. If you can pull it all apart you will be able to easily re-seat this card. Another option is the daughter card is going bad, or the usb ports and or drivers are bad, but it sounds like the card is not properly seated.
