SOURCE: I have a 15x 42" intex metal frame pool an i also

Most likely you are not. The manual is very conservative!!! I have a 14000 gallon pool and I run my intex salt system during the summer at 10 to 12 hrs pump and 8 to 10 hrs chlorination in between those 12 hrs and my pool stays very clear. But..... If you don't clean the unit and let it alarm for low flow, low salt or not run the unit log enough, you WILL HAVE GREEN WATER!!!
Hope this helps, If it does, please rate the tip!

Why does intex filter pump warm water into pool?

im not aware of this unit having a heater on it if your saying that running the filter raises the temp in pool , ck to see if the pump is facing south east , if so move entire pool to a NW side , or add some sort of sun shade to pump

Is the ground the pool is sitting on, level? If not, move the pool or use sand to create a level base for the pool.

I have an Intex Ellipse 24x12 pool. I just got an Intex 4000 FIlter Pump and it shoots out the skimmer into the air. I can't get it to work correctly. What should I do?

MAKE SURE YOUR SUCTION HOSE IS GOING TO THE PUMP INLET ON THE FRONT SIDE OF THE MOTOR ON THE PUMP. YOUR DISCHARGE SIDE WILL BE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FILTER SIDE OF THE PUMP. IT SOUNDDS AS SIMPLE AS YOU MIGHT HAVE THE HOSES REVERSED.

I cannot find user manual for my intex salt water system. What side of pump does it attach to?

You have an inlet side, (where pool water is brought into the pump), and is typically the lower of the two. Then you have the return, (where the water comes back out after being filtered). As the previous person noted, you'll need to observe the arrows indicating flow direction on the SWG and it will be on the return side of the pool. Additionally, you can go to the INTEX website, and they have the same setup video that should have been provided with your system. Hope this helps.

My cousin dug out dirt at the high point of the area where we put up the 15' x 48" Intex metal frame pool. It seemed to be filling evenly and looked great. The next day it looked as if a couple of poles...

They say that the pool should be completely even. I dont want to tell you, you have to re-do, but I also don't want to tell you that you shouldn't. Without seeing it, it is hard to say whether or not it would be safe to leave. That being said, attempt to straighten those leaning post, applying something underneath each pole so that they do not sink into the ground further. (which may difficult with the water in)

I personally have put 1/2" slate bricks under each pole post to avoid it sinking into the ground, so it being un-level is not a problem.

Basically only you know what you feel safe doing. I just hope I have helped to give you a solution to the sinking poles issue. If the ground is uneven, even with something under the post, it can still be uneven. It will be hard to get completely even. Ours is off slightly too, but its fine.

Good luck!

Currently have a filter pump that hangs on side of pool. want to purchase a larger (1500gph)pump. these all sit on ground

I recommend upgrading to sand filter system. You can get a good one from Amazon seller for $305.00 delivered. Pump made by Waterway. (we are very pleased with ours). The intex pumps just aren't sufficient for the pools they come supplied with IMO. It's a little more pricey than upgrading an Intex pump, but so worth it.

I hope this has helped. Good luck!

Lopsided 18x4 intex round easy set pool

I started out with easy set pools a few years ago and finally gave up and went to their steel supported ones.

I have put up over 20 above ground Intex pools and have learned a few things in the process:

A: The larger the pool with the air ring at the top the more difficult it is to fill to its maximum potential.

B: Eventually the pool is going to collapse with people in it, especially if someone leans over the edge with their arms on it which is a perfectly natural thing to do.

C: It is virtually impossible to get an area beneath the pool level without scraping the ground and measuring it with, in your case, at least a 16' long 2"x4" on its edge with a level on it.

D: Trying to build up the ground on one side with sand will eventually result in collapse of the pool.

E: There is a type of stiff styrofoam ring that you can buy in sections to go around the bottom of the pools, but that will also result in collapse unless it is used for what it was developed, and that is a rigid wall pool.

F: Out of the three types of pools that Intex sell, the easy up with the air ring (the worst), the steel supported all the way around (next worse). and the rigid side, only the rigid side is forgiving to a tiny degree where unlevel ground is concerned.

For your size of pool everything must be exact and completely level or at one point it will collapse. There is little more discouraging than seeing all those gallons of water run out onto the grass. Once the water goes over the edge, no amount of people can prevent the collapse.

Finally I have learned that, with above ground pools, you get exactly what you pay for. My 5th above ground Intex pool was the best, but even with the ring around the edge at the bottom and the rigid side, I was still wasting my money unless the ground was aboslutely level. You just have to cut away the dirt until the level shows no angle.

I wish you all the luck. If you feel a desire, I have 5 Intex pools in my barn I will give to you if you pay the freight. Each was a dissapointment and a waste of time, energy, and above all, money.

I finally spent about $750 on one, had a professional crew level the ground, and it stays up through the winters even.
