It depends if you have a some knowledge in electronics or if you know how to troubleshoot the parts inside.maybe you would need a TV service technician, in order to locate the damaged parts.

Why does my Bush BLCD37 HDA8 keep turning itself off and the on again. It seems to only happen at home. I have sent it to a TV repair man who could not get the telly to replicate the problem, so he...

Check its main power supply regulator's output voltages. If main supply output from it is more than normal, this kind of fault can occur. [Over-voltage / Under-voltage] problem. The main system control IC in the TV will detect this condition, and will shut the TV Off. The best practice is to replace all the electrolytic capacitors at the main power supply regulator board.

Good day!!!

That problem is usually have 2 causes..Its either power supply board or mainboard..

Please take this steps on how to determine the problem:
  1. Open the back cover.
  2. Check the power supply output...It should have 5vdc for the main board..12vdc or 16vdc for the audio and 24vdc for the back-light inverter..
  3. If those 3 voltage supplies have encountered voltage drop...The problem could be on power supply board..
  4. If the power supply output is normal..The problem could be on the main board...
  5. If the problem is power supply you should check if the capacitors are bulged on the top and try to replaced it..If you can't do that you can purchased new power supply board..
  6. If the problem is on main board there is no D.I.Y repair on that so you need to buy a new main board that fits to your TV..
Hope thissolution will be helpful..

I have a 2003 sony triniton and it bliks 7 times and is looks like its going to start it also sounds for 1 sec and shuts off again what could i do?

It seems that you have a problem on the low voltage power supply that's why your unit automatically shuts down.

Fixing it is quite technical so I've advice you to send it to repair shop or look for a qualified technician to isolate the faulty parts on the low voltage power supply. Sometimes leaky electrolytic capacitor on the regulator section and on the B+ caused this problem. Leaky capacitor will affect on the performance of the power supply that's why one's sense by the processor it will automatically shuts off. Also the technician will do re-soldering on the main board for some dry joints.

My tv tries to turn on the clicks several times and the standby light flashes and nothing happens

The clicking is the main power relay that is trying to supply power to the main power supply circuits. The internal problem detections circuits are detecting a problem and the unit is being shutdown. IT should be blinking a repeated count. Please supply the model number and the count if any and I should be able to provide additional details and possible solutions.

RCA TV Model F32444 Will not power on

The noise you are hearing is probably the degauss (it demagnetises the screen every startup). The most likely problem is the power supply. Do a replacement of all the caps on the powersupply board and it will likely fix your problem. Because it still has power to the degauss coils it hasn't blown the fuse. Power supply not starting like that is usually caused by a small electrolytic capacitor near the heatsink on the mains side of the powersupply. They can be replaced for about 10 cents.
Hope this helps

2 year old turned tv on/off several times - TV doesn't turn on

The main power supply is in the protect mode. Usually this is caused by the high voltage section, scan amplifiers, and or the main power supply failing. Many times, when there are failures in the scan amplifier output sections, the main power supply can also be damaged.

On rare occastions, the CRT electron-gun can have a short, and cause this type of failure condition.

An experienced TV tech should be able to service this for you.
