I need my power supply fixed for my protron pltv-3750 lcd tv
Hello i saw where you serviced power supplies for protron lcd tv's. and i have one that blows the little ceramic fuse on the power supply board immediately when i throw the switch. ive replaced it twice, and i m guessing that something on the board is grounded out. so if you are interested would you drop me a email at firstname.lastname@example.org with maybe a estimate and how to get it to you ? thanks -jamie johnson

These cicrcuits boards are no longer being manufactured. The only option at this point is to get the defective power supply repair but most service techs do not want to fix them.
I can repair it for you but you will need to remove it and send it to me.

if you look at the power supply board you will see an aluminum plate remove the four screws and 9 out of 10 times it is a diode on the board that has gone out. go to radio shack and for 83 cents you can buy one the same size. I personally have tried all the diodes that they sell and all of them that are the same size physically will work. I have three of these tv's and all of them were the same problem. I replaced the diode in each with one of each of the same physical size sold at radioshack and they have been working like new since.
funny that no one's been able to help you, because I accidentally discovered that the power supply cord for my computer worked for my Protron PLTV-32C lcd... not sure if your model is different in someway, but you may want to try the cord from your own PC first, and if it works.
