Your antivirus program is probably thinks that your Wireless Network monitoring program is not a possible malicious program. there should be an option somewhere to set which programs are ok and which are not.

If the licence key is new (not used) then you have to purchase the licence key again. But if you have already registered the product and used the same - so please contact f secure - they will provide you the licence key to your registered email.

SOURCE: NORTON INTERNET SECURITY 2011 just installed from

Hi,

I think you are confusing the Windows Update with the Norton Automatic update.

Please open your Norton product and see if the status is at "Secure" on the top of the program.
If it is secure with a green mark, you need not worry.

If it shows at "Risk", do the following steps:
Check if the Windows update is turned on or off.
Check if the computer's date and time is running correctly
If the problem still persist, reinstalling the Norton program will definitely fix the issue

To reinstall we need to first download the setup file from the link www.norton.com/nis11, which will download the latest version of Norton Internet Security.

Double click the downloaded file and that will remove the existing version and install the latest version.

Regards,
Muhaim

I cant get connect to a internet everytime i click internet explorer it say cant find a dsn error or internet explorer i have internect service at home and still cant get connected

are you sure its DSN and not a DNS error if the latter
Open your Internet Explorer browser. It doesn't matter what page your browser opens to as long as it is open. Click on the Tools option at the top of your Internet Explorer screen. Next, click on Internet Options followed by security Tab In the Security Tab, click on the Custom Level tab located at the bottom of the screen. Check the Medium security level drop down box once on the Custom Level screen. You will also need to browse through the options find the setting Access Data Across Domains and put a check in that box to enable the feature. Finally choose the Apply option and the exist the program. You might need to restart your computer for the changes to apply hope this helps

Cannot get on the puter its asking for network user name password and domain

As long as you're trying to access your own internet/router you can easily find both pieces of information.
Luckily each brand of router has it's own solution to recovering a lost network key/password.
First, specify the brand router you own. I will provide information on two common brand routers below:
Linksys:
In your web browser (even if you cannot connect) type in exactly: http://192.168.1.1. This is your router's LAN address and will give you access to a host of control screens
Then click the "Security" tab which will reveal your network key/codes.
Your network user name/password should be shown in this tab!
Belkin:
Connect an Ethernet cable to the network port of any network computer and plug the other end into an available port on the back of the router.
Open your internet Browser
Check your router manual/instruction manual/router itself for the AP Address of router. It is usually 192.168.2.1
Input this Address into your internet browser (you do not need connection for this to work).
Go to the security tab after loading this page. Your username/password should be listed there!
Best of luck.

Cant call out or in off of ny black berry 8520

Go to your Options : Security >> Security Options (the same page where you can enable/disable passwords) & scroll to the bottom. If there's an IT policy attached, it will be mentioned there. Remove the IT policy using these instructions

Procedure
Step 1 : Ensure the Blackberry Desktop Manager is installed using Blackberry Internet Service, and not Blackberry Enterprise Server. If you are unsure, it would probably be a good idea to uninstall the Desktop Manager and start again. If you don't have the CD that came with your Blackberry, the Software can be downloaded here.

Step 2 : Download the file policy.bin and save it in your Blackberry installation directory (C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry).

Step 3 : Wipe your Blackberry, creating a backup if necessary. Select Options/Security/Wipe on the Device. If this option is unavailable, you may have to install the latest software on your Blackberry. You need to Download and install the latest OS for your device. Connect your device, open the Desktop Manager, select Application Loader, and follow the prompts.

Step 4 : Close the Desktop Manager if it is open.

Step 5 : From the Windows XP Start Menu select Run..., and at the prompt type regedit. In the tree on the left hand side, navigate to:

HKEY_Current_Users\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\PolicyManager

Right-Click the Policy Manager Folder and select New/String Value. Name the value Path. Now, Double-Click the Path Subkey and set Value Data to:

C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\policy.bin

Step 6 : Open the Desktop Manager.

Step 7 : Connect the Device. Verification Once complete, the Options/Security screen on your Blackberry should not contain references to an IT Policy, you should now be able to change all settings (including password prompts), and install Third Party Applications.

Possible Virus

Spyware cause the same effect as general browser pop-ups but they are usually powered by Browser Helper Objects, ActiveX controls which attaches to Internet Explorer and contacts their servers without your knowledge. This not only means waste of internet bandwidth, but your private information may also be sent to someone. You need to treat any outgoing connection without your permission, as a security threat.
Along with your anti-virus software, you need to anti-spyware tools such as Ad-AwareSpybot Search & DestroySpyware Blaster at a bare minimum. You must update the pattern files before scanning just like what you do for your anti-virus software.

  • Use HOSTS file to block unwanted ad servers and sites that are known to spread malware
  • Increase your browser security settings. Visit the following link to learn how to protect the system from parasites.
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
(Site packed with full of security tips, advice to prevent parasites being installed)
  • Use an application-based firewall, such as Zone Alarm, Sygate etc. They alert you whenever an outgoing traffic by a new application is detected. By doing this, you are preventing dialers, Trojans accessing the internet. Give equal importance to the configuration of the firewall. Assume your firewall as the gatekeeper, and only allow programs that you want, to access the internet. You may then test the effectiveness of the Firewall (for inbound protection) using any of these websites. They scan your system for open ports and vulnerabilities and advice you what action to take.
