Black stuff in washing machne

Something in your pockets? If not could be you need to clean out the hose screens where they connect to the back of the washer. Unscrew them and take a look at the screens. Pull them out with some kind of pick or walnut pick, ice pick, small pocket knife etc. Clean them and replace. you could have all kinds of crudd there. If thats not the problem you will have to clarify how large and what substance. Pocky etc. Hope this helps. Kids keep the weirdest things in their pockets.

As soon as the computer is turned on i get a black screen with an apology msg about not being able to start...it offers options for trying to start..including safe mode, safe mode with network, safe mode...

Hello

What these messages are actually telling you is that the computer can't see the hard drive. Now the real question is why? The best way to solve this would be take the hard drive out and slave to another system. This would tell you if the hard drive is actually spinning, and if all your data is retrieveable. If it can be seen in another system then my guess is that your drive has viruses corrupting the Windows startup files. If it can't be seen then the hard drive will have to go to a professional for data recovery.

Thanks

Try start, run, then type MSCONFIG go to start tab and UNcheck everything, then go to services and at the lower left of the window it says hide microsoft services and check the box then disable all then restart and see if that helps.

Restart and keep pressing f8. Select safe mode and see if you can login to safe mode. If that is not possible then keep pressing F10 key to start recovery tools. Just follow instructions on the screen in recovery tool to recover your Notebook back to factory settings.
If there is any important data on the notebook, then use data backup tool in REcovery utility.

Please leave your feedback if issue was recolved

Have gone to black!

The error: Window could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt;
WINDOWS\SYSEM32\config\system

You can attempt to repair this file by loading the Win CD into your cdrom drive. Start the PC & press the F5 key every 2 seconds & windows boot menue will load.
Choose the cdrom drive that has the Windows CD in.

Select "r" at the first screen to start repair.
Once back in windows run a full system virus scan.

Good luck & have a great day!

Two windows options

I believe you should select the top MICROSOFT XP HOME EDITION line as the newer versions of Windows "instances" are placed on top.
