Question about Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

1 Answer

Hello sir, Well it has been raining for a few days here and my cam has been exposedto bit of moisture as i indulged in a bit of early morning shoots. The thing is i get absolutely fantastic images with my nikkor 18-105 mm kit lens but the other lens i own, the sigma 70 300 apo dg macro, is producing soft images with hatable sharpness. It used to produce crisp images but for the last few days, though the subject when saw through the viewfinder is sharpest, but when being clicked, the image is very soft with no details. why is it so?

It could be condensation inside the lens. It could be a problem with the focusing. It could be other mechanical/optical problems with the Sigma lens. If the problem persists after the lens has thoroughly dried out, take it in to a reputable camera shop and have it checked out by a qualified technician.

Have a package unit that is tripping the circuit breaker early in the morning, around 5 a.m. each day for the past few days. The blower fan motor was recently replaced, but it seems to work fine, all day...

Excessive current draw when motor first starts could and most likely does cause this breaker trip. I would check wiring connections to motor, check cold motor start up amperage draw, also breaker may be the issue (weak bimetal spring).

Wiper blades work when it not raining...when it rains they dont work or work ocassionally

if its the same as i remember the electronic control on the wiper motor allows moisture to leak in, on a dry day remove the cover held on with three screws, let it sit for a bit then reinstall the cover with a small bead of sealant on the edge

92 Honda Accord Wont Start After Rain (especially mornings)

Good Morning,
Check for moisture in the Distributor and use a blow dryer to dry it out. You may want to consider changing your Spark Plug wires to a "Moisture Resistant" type. Please let me know if this helps you and thank you for using FixYa!

!997 Jetta doesnt start when it is early inthe morning w/ dew on the Ground or rainy day.

I had the same problem with miosture and my 96 Jetta GLS dying, and I finally figured out it was the ignition coil. Spray the coil with water lightly while it is running, and it'll probably kill the car. They you'll know!

1985 Volvo DL station wagon Starter problem

This happened to me on my '87 245.
It was a cracked distributor cap. Just a hairline, but enough.
Also check all the electrical plugs and connections under the hood.
If there is any corrosion or anything amiss clean and or replace as necessary.
Also check for wire insulation deterioration. This is a problem on some '84 to '88 240s.
