Have apple eMac forgot user password can you help

You need to start up from the system cd for the eMac then use 'Password Utility' to change the password.
Alternatively, if you are transferring the files to another Mac, you can start up the eMac in 'Target Disk' mode by holding down the 'T' key during start-up until a Firewire symbol appears on the screen. The computer can then be connected to another Mac which will see the eMac as an external HD.

Black emac screen

Hi, this could be a number of things but the most likely cause is probably the leaking capaitor syndrome. At about the time these machines were made there was a flood of faulty capacitors throughout the electronics world and the factpriews that made the mother boards for the eMac were particularly badly hit.Did the screen exhibit any flashing or streaking or random freezing before the failure? Thses are typical precursors.
Unfortunately the only thing you can do is to take it to a (Apple) repair centre where they will be able to judge if it is repairable or not.The leaking capacitors quite often ruined the mother-board. If theyu were caught in time they were repairable but .......
If the eMac is still running, connect it to an external monitor and then clone your HD to a blank HD using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper.

My iphone was acting up so I rebooted it and now it wont turn back on the apple will come up and then the circles thing like its loading but then the screen turns black and wont turn back on!! I dont know...

Hi,

Try powering off your phone and then when its off, hold down your power button and the button on the front of the phone until the apple logo appears and wait a little, it might take a while for your phone to boot up to home screen and to get a signal so just give it time to catch up with it self :)

Hope this helps & give me a message back if you have any question or it doesnt work! :)

G4 Desktop wont load, all i can see is a question mark flashing on and off in the centre of the screen

Try booting it into single-user mode holding down Command(Apple) and S buttons when powering up. Then in terminal console, use chkdsk -fy. Use it and use it again until comes back with something like "Volume appears to be OK". Then use command: mount -uw / and then type reboot and try booting normally.

Try to reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple2_bing.gif logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge iPod touch until it is fully charged.

If this doesn't work, try restoring the iPod

Shows fully charged (plug icon), but isn't taking a charge. A;ready tried reboot/restore.

Get a can of air and blow it into the 30-pin connector and headphone jack to clear the phone of dust and build-up. This should clear up the problem. I learned this from an Apple Store Genius Bar associate.

Emac can't see Epson tx100 printer

Hi there,

You should verify that your eMac has USB 2.0. If you go to the apple symbol on the top left hand corner. Click on About this Mac and go into your system profiler you can see what USB the computer has. Many of the eMac only came with USB 1.1 as this was the protocal of the time.

Hope this helps.

MAC G4 won't boot - Blue screen appears

Hi Sorry to hear you are having troubles,You will need a firewire 400 cableOK, first thing you must do is reboot the eMac in TARGET mode, this means it will be recognized as an external disk. To get the eMac in TARGET mode, you must be sure the eMac is turned OFF and has a functioning keyboard connected.Power on the eMac and very very rapidly press the ( T ) key on the keyboard, be sure the caps lock button is not pressed. If all goes well, you will see the firewire logo appear larger than life on the screen.( If you are unable to get into TARGET mode, it is highly probable that the mother board of the internal hard drive is damaged and preventing the eMac from entering TARGET mode, sorry, that's the end of the line..)Once you enter TARGET mode on the eMac, connect the firewire cable to your G4 PowerBook, you can do this either while it is running or when it is off and then turn it on.
You should see the volume of your eMac internal hard drive appear on the PowerBook desktop...sometimes you need to open Disk Utilities and repair or mount the drive manually. If this all works well, copy the required files directly to your PowerBook...After that, power off both machines, disconnect them and reboot the eMac using a CD or DVD to reformat and reinstall a new system.
