I`ve recently started a new job & have been issued with a nokia 3120. At first the phone displayed caller id when receiving a call, but now the display just displays "call" with no name or number displayed even though they are saved in my contacts.

this works on nokia and most phones are around the same format,go to menu open, scroll to settings open, scroll to call, open, scroll to send my caller id ,open and change to send my caller i.d.all done ,regards terry p.s usually three settings on off and set by network. if only only two, use the set by network one .
Usually Nokia phones are such that you dont need to turn on the caller id feature. As long as the contact of the person who is calling you is saved on the mobile device the phone automatically identifies who the caller is. The only caller id feature which has to be activated will be from the mobile company to allow whoever is calling you to have their number displayed on your device. To get more info on this simply call your mobile company's customer care. Hope this solution has been helpful?
Caller ID works by displaying the caller infomation that is sent. When you receive the caller ID, it first tries to pair it up with a name in the address book, and if nothing is found, it just displays the number.
If you want the contact's name to show, then you must save it exactly as the caller ID displays it. Most often, only 7 digits are put in, when it needs to be the full 10 digits.
